Well I have been a bit confused when I was mid/late teens. I'd always been told by my mother that I'd been circumcised as an infant, for medical reasons. However when in the school and pool changing rooms I used to notice that my cock looked like most other guys there, with a foreskin. It wasn't until later in my life I found that some doctors did partial circumcisions and that they only remove the tip of the foreskin and I think that is what was done with me. It's interesting the different views between the USA and here, where men are very squeamish even at the very idea.

Thinking back to my original query, I wonder if the differential rates around the UK are more to do with local medical views - in more multicultural London, it is seen as more mainstream among doctors, and less so the further north you go (I mean outwith communities that require it).

It might be much easier to get cut for foreskin issues down south than in many other parts of the country. I know of some who have had tight foreskin problems who have endured months or even years of GP's trying to delay the inevitable with creams and what not, just because the GPs didn't like the idea of circumcision and wanted to avoid it at all costs.

Exactly similar experience for me. I am circumcised for religious reasons, however the procedure could not be carried out after birth, and it just got put off until I reached the age of 12. It was quite sore after the process, however it used to get very tricky with nocturnal and morning wood! Don't regret it at all.

sorry to hear so many man had there foreskins removed for medical reasons but for most of you it all seemed to work out ok in the end.
