Obviously I DID watch the massively inferior uk qaf.. it’s not everyday you get to see gay male fucking naked on the telly..

But the US version is infinitely superior.. in every way. And it was in for longer. And the guys were hotter. And the gay fucking was much more graphic and explicit.

I have the USA version on dvd. I cannot reiterate just how fucking impressive the fucking was.

Horses for courses. We cannot all like the same thing. Quite enjoyed the UK version. Got the DVD box set. Must watch it again. Couldn't get on with the American version at all. Thought it was too soap-opera-ish, not particularly well acte and boring.

I watched some of the US version and the sex scenes were pretty damn good. Not seen much of the UK version but of course it inspired the US version and it was groundbreaking TV.

For me the UK version whilst groundbreaking at the time was marred by some bad acting straight actors playing gay and being unconvincing and it was a turn off.

Especially that repugnant Coronation Street mutant.

The USA version was is effortlessly erotic with genuinely hot guys with awesome chemistry and believable writing. Plus the plentiful gay sex was is strikingly done.

Yes he was, I watched a few episodes of Sons of Anarchy, which he was in a few years later and he had completely lost his looks, a common occurrence in twinks, especially blond ones (They usually start balding, though Charlie Hinnan hadn't in that, he just looked rougher and no longer pretty)

In the 2017 version of Papillon, he still had a great body but evolved from being a pretty boy to a very handsome man
