I'd prefer the moneysavingexpert site every time in preference to random comments on here.

Thanks I can’t read how reliable they are on those sites, just costs.

User reliability comments are good too

The websites Expertreviews and Choose both put BT in first place for reliability.

Find them and others with your preferred search engine

I've been with BT since 1987.

With the majority of broadband providers (Virgin excluded) in terms of outage reliability, you're at the mercy of Openreach, not the provider itself. Although some providers now have 4g/5g backup contingency if your landline goes down.

I'm with Virgin out of necessity because fibre speeds here are shite but if I was going fibre I'd be looking at it more in terms of customer service score rather than just reliability.

"find out your neighbours password. "

Online five-finger discount lol

Difficult to do now. Remember a decade ago lots of unprotected wifi. Never had any reason to try that.

Virgin for me. Never had a problem. I stream everything i watch and work from home. Its really fast and reliable. Also don’t need a phone line so not paying additional money for something id never use.

Should add its very fast as well, 134.7 mbps download and 17.4mbps upload. Which is pretty much great for anything. £22pm.

Bizarrely my Virgin deal was cheaper with a phone line (and free evening/weekend calls) than without.

Not sure how that makes good business practice but whatever

I got rid of my unreliable landline a couple of years back and bought a 4G router. Popped a nano SIM card in it from EE and paid about £24 a month.

Three (not usually my first choice) have just upgraded my local mast to 5G so I've switched to one of their routers and am paying £12.50 a month for a 2-year contract thanks to a friends and family discount (the router was free). I'm getting download speeds of 500+Mbps and 60 up.

I pay 20 quid a month for fast broadband and phone calls with Now TV I have to say they have been great customer service wise as I had a fault but it was fixed the next day... Contract ran out and when I checked who had the best deal it was still nowtv which I think is owned by sky? So I just renewed with them.. Been great

What you have to undertand is with your service is that bt still own the system.....whoever you go to still has to rely on bt,s infrastructure...

Openreach aren’t a broadband provider.

They’re just an telecom engineering company

BT/EE are fantastic, great service, great customer service both in store and on the phone. It doesn't cut of randomly. Price is a little on the expensive side but overall if the service is great then I don't mind.

Whatever you do, do not go with Virgin. It is so fucking shit the worse of the worse of providers in every sense. Plus if your internet goes down they will not come out and sort it.
