autogynephilia

Autogynephilia is defined as sexual arousal at the idea of having a female body, wearing female clothing or acting like one.

I must admit that I strongly identify with this. I definitely act quite differently when dressed. Am very sub.

However, I also get great pleasure in all the paraphernalia and preparations to try to become as femme as possible.

I end up buying far more femme clothing than I can ever wear, more shoes and makeup. Almost obsessional at times.

The shaving, Veet and trimming, seeing how much body hair I can get rid of without it being obvious. Plucking eyebrows subtly.

Been like this since I was very young.

I don't get any degree of arousal from dressing, I don't think I ever did. Seeing someone else dressed can but so can seeing them undressed. But I do like to look as attractive as I can for someone

I think I'm a little jealous

The trans activists absolutely hate this idea.

The idea that some become the mirror of the woman they really want to fuck.

I think its more prevalent that people are willing to admit.

It's one of the reasons I'm uncomfortable with the push to adopt self-ID in law (rather than just practice).

Because there is an unknown number of people who would benefit from professional counselling to unpick the conflation of sex and sexuality from genuine body dysmorphia.

I think we can all point to examples where dysmorphia has masked other baggage.

I have absolutely no dysmorphia, either bodily or gender.

Am quite happy with my male self.

I just get a sexual thrill from dressing and everything that accompanies it.

Me too!

I don't want to be a woman but I love the clothing and teh way if feels. I started dressing when I was 12 by wearing mum's nylon panties, looking at my bottom in the mirror and imagining that was a girl's bottom and that is what it would feel like to touch a girl's bottom in nylon panties...in the mirror. OK my hands soon wandered around to the front of the panties and a hole new exciting world opened up or this that came up, for me...

This thread is so spot on for me. I have no interest in being a woman and never have done. However, the drive to become as sexually attractive a female as I can is overwhelming

I saw some research suggesting that about 1 in every 2000 were gender disphoric, but 1 in 50 were autogynophile.

I had some counselling in the 80s after a couple of suicide attempts. They diagnosed if that's the right word that I was dysphoric but more importantly they put me on the right track to learn to live with myself. I never did seek gender reassignment because of family outrage but I continue to dress when I can, just so I can look in the mirror and say, "There you are" once in a while. It's one of the mechanisms I have built to keep me sane

Another self identified autogynephile here. I do act differently when dressed up and I can get the dismorphia if I wear nail polish and see my hands for hours. So I try not to do that.

Tits would be fab!

Love nail polish. And makeup.

Even just thinking about it and writing that causes a stirring!

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I wish there was a way to share these with younger confused gay and bi guys. It is possible to live authentically and happily without surgery.

Yes, thank you everyone. It's an interesting aspect of 'being' for some men, of a private human persona. I wish there would be more openness about this, and less confusion, deliberately by gender activists.

Also, it is always sad and eye opening to hear the life-ending feelings some of our contributers to this thread have struggled with in their personal life. It takes a constant level of strength and resilience to live positively whilst feeling such duress, and its a credit to someone's character to figure out how to keep moving forward.

There is a constant need in society for there to be a medical / scientific name for everything that is different from social expectations.

a Scotsman where’s a skirt but calls it a kilt and he’s patriotic and traditional.

Anyone else wears a skirt and people are questioning whether they are ok, if somethings happened and that’s a coping mechanism, are they suffering depression, they need to see someone for help.

Sexual arousal happens in different ways for different people there are some who like just to get naked and go at it while others will dress up in leather, tie each other up and beat 7 bells out of each other before shitting on his chest as he erupts into orgasm.

What I’m saying is just embrace the things that make us happy we only get 1 turn on this ride make the most of it.

Do you feel that's a dissociation from your male self?.

I don't have a gender situation, but I suffer from anxious depression, and occasionally at serious times I can have fleeting derealisation (depersonalisation). I didn't know these terms till later life. Apparently it develops in people who've experienced a severe life stress, or had emotional neglect during childhood (which I did on both those counts ).

I certainly grew up never wanting to be me, and continuing throughout my 20s I didn't want the 'body I am'.

I developed more 'acceptance' by my late 30s, and I have no (surface) body issues now, just the inner recurring anxious depression

Funnily enough, I wear a kilt fairly frequently, weddings, parties etc.

But get absolutely no sexual gratification from it because it is a male item of clothing.

However, a tartan skirt, (usually mini, admittedly) is entirely a different matter.

It's a huge dichotomy in my life.

An outward very masculine side, military, sports, rugged outdoor type stuff.

And yet, while still wishing to be male, embracing all things feminine for my own internal pleasure.

Very much so, it's by far the most interesting thread I've seen in a while. A bit of honesty and openness and there's so much to learn about ourselves and our sisters/friends/community

South Derbyshire

I stumbled on the term Autogynephilia (AGP) after someone mentioned Masochistic Emasculation Fetish (MEF).

I'd heard the term before on a site especially for t-girls but it was looked at in a derogatory way.

I've never had any issues with my gender and for a long time perused women and girls because I thought I fancied them.

In the last few years I've realised that the feelings I have for women are admiration rather than lust. They never did arouse me much something I couldn’t understand at the time.

I enjoy dressing as a woman and taking the female role in bed with a man. It feels so natural whereas with a woman I had to put on an act.

Today those feelings were reinforced. It's been a hot day and there were lots of girls and woman scantily dressed.

Tiny denim shorts seem to be very popular. They are shorter than what Daisy Duke wore in the Dukes of Hazard.

One young woman was wearing them so short and so tight the cheeks of her bottom was on display. Another wore them so short and loose that if she wasn't wearing panties you would of seen her pussy.

I was so envious and jealous of how they looked. I wanted to ask where they bought them from. It must be so liberating to dress like that and I want to experience it too.
