'Cry the Clock said'

by Gary Numan.

Fell out of love with Gary Numan after his Replicas album back in the day, so never listened to the album this song comes from until decades later for the first time during the Pandemic lockdown..

so beautiful minimal but heartfelt..

"Why cry now,

It's over"

"Feelings change"

"I'll forget who you are,

I'll forget one of these days... "

"These are the days of our lives by queen"

The song not so much, but the video for that is so desperately sad I can't watch it. Freddie, dying before your eyes looking so frail and signing off with that "I still love you"

I can't bring a recording to mind off hand but what did it for me was a local modern jazz outfit playing a Sunday lunch session in a local bar. The band had brought their kids along and there was such a vibe of love in the place.

One piece they played was so beautiful I found myself in tears.

'Long, long, long' The Beatles

Always brings back memories of a pal I used to fool around with the time the song came out

Two Little Boys

“Do you see Joe, I'm all a-tremble

Perhaps it’s the battle’s noise,

But I think it’s that I remember,

When we were two little boys.”

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation?

You build up hope, but failure's all you've known

Remember all the sadness and frustration

And let it go, let it go.

Often it's about the way it's sung and this is one of those. Written down it seems a bit trite. 🤷

Anything remotely connected to Simon Cowell, because everything he's ever touched is total shite and a crime against rock 'n' roll.

THAT'S why it brings tears to my eyes!

Nizlopi - JCB Song.

Having a neurodivetgent and disabled child I knew this wasn't happening, but it was something I enjoyed. I still can't listen to it even though I and time has moved on.

It is still a great song about bonding, love and family. Something Igpt to enjoy.
