Southend

Living in sunny Southend, I once drove to the gay area of Manchester to see what all the fuss was about (late 1990’s internet was new back then). Queer as folk had been showing on the TV. Spent the night in a hotel and went home the next day.

Also driven to a cruising area in Scunthorpe, (Porkies) where at least I had some action, although it wasn’t as busy as I was led to believe.

For me I tend to think of day visits and hookups as within an hour's travel so if I'm driving then one hour's drive but if I'm travelling by train* then London is accessible so it'd be fun to visit the saunas there or see people who can accommodate, male, Female or Trans.

For overnights two to three hours is perfectly OK, which puts Brighton in range ( did it in under 3 hours last time I went 'home'

*Assuming they trains aren't on strike or otherwise fucked up. They've been really unreliable recently.

I travelled to Sharjah, UAE, not long ago to stay with the "uncle" of a guy I met on here.

A very odd experience overall but great fun. Three weeks passed in a flash.
