"Ex RAF but I don't look back on my service with and nostalgia.

Sad to hear, but it isn’t for everyone, I get that. What winds me up is seeing guys I served with giving it the big veteran vibe on social media, “oh it was the best time ever”, yet I know when they served they hated it and couldn’t get out fast enough. One reason why even though I’m immensely proud of my service and have great memories, I avoid veteran gatherings like the plague. Too many hypocrites, not to mention walts. I’d be way more comfortable in your company, I bet we’d have a right laugh over a few beers. Folk take it all way to seriously.

Not for everyone that's for sure, I attend the occasional reunions and have a good time. But would love some extra curricular activity during them. ??

I don't understand why this theme is brought up on the Forum. Is anybody able to explain the benefit the OP and respondents get from simply identifying themselves and the part of the forces they served with.

This subject often comes up. I know a lot of guys, myself included, are attracted to guys in uniform. Also attracted to military type guys e.g. fit bodies, smart, short haircuts etc. However ex military can be a different matter. Nearly 35 years since I left the army. Still have a military style haircut and still upright but my body is no longer that of the fit young soldier it once was.

I think you are right. It may have been a long time ago but I am still extremely proud of the fact I served and during that time received two promotions and two service medals even if my service was not particularly distinguished. I do often look back as it being probably the happiest period of my life even though it had quite a lot of downs as well as ups

What really sticks in my claw, is it cost me £700 for the privilege if leaving!!

10 years Army, again not big on the reunion side of things. Although I am staunchly proud of my Corps and my time serving it was a part of my life I have now left behind. Not completely as it is always there, but I don't wish to travel around the country to various weekend piss ups any more these days. Probably because I'm a bit of a pussy at drinking now..

This is very true. Serving in the armed forces is not a job. It's a way of life, and if you are in there any length of time [say more than 2 or 3 years] and enjoy it, you become conditioned to it. Not a bad thing either.

Incidentally I don't go to reunions and the closest I come to anything militarily these days is attending a war memorial service on Nov 11th.

No, I never served, but am open to increase my understanding of others.

Wouldn't it be more constructive to offer the explanation rather than be dismissive in derogatory tones ?

Thanks to all who have replied, for me personally I enjoy knowing there are many other serving or ex serving guys who are into other guys.

During my service it was against QRs so was grounds for dismissal which meant many of us, well me at least, got our thrills cottaging and cruising.

I often wonder if any of the guys I had fun with were also serving but it was often to dark to recognise anyone.

I hope at least one of my troops had the pleasure of fucking their Sergeant even if they didn't know it.

I served. I was infantry and managed to get myself into all the hotspots of the day.

The day I left, I left it all behind. I then served Her Majesty under another uniform for many years. I never quite understood the guys who defined themselves by their military service. It was as if they had nothing other than those few years to hang their personality on.

Perhaps I’m odd, but the whole fetishisation of military personnel makes me queasy. Vans, trucks and bodies plastered with Lest We Forget, poppies and silhouettes of the war apparatus. ‘Thank you for your service’ written in comments under some equally queasy meme on Facebook.

I take myself away quietly somewhere on armistice and think of my time and others. I don’t need or want others involved. It’s a quiet time for my reflection, not performative.

Dulce et Decorum est. The old lie.

I was duty corporal one night and although my own room was across from the NAAFI myself and the duty sergeant had to sleep above the NAAFI in the duty bunks.

I knew the duty sergeant as he worked in the same workshops as myself and we got on well.

After I'd locked up the NAAFI and we'd both done our rounds and checks we had a quick drink in the bar before retiring to our respective bunks.

I was about to get undressed when the sergeant knocked on my door. On opening the door he informed me that he couldn't access his bunk. We both tried to open the door but couldn't gain access.

He suggested that we share my bed, keeping our uniform on.

We rang the guardroom to inform them that we'd be in the same room and if they needed him they would have to use my extension number.

Apparently it hadn't been the first time that this door had stuck so i had no reason to think anything else.

We both climbed onto the bed sleeping back to back.

At about 4am i could feel him move and he turned to face my back. His arm came over me and his hand fell onto the front of my lightweights.

With a couple of gentle rubs i started to harden.

I reached behind me and his cock was out of his lightweights and rock hard.

He moaned and unzipped me pulling my cock out. In those days i always went commando so he had instant access to my now rock hard cock.

For the next half our we laid like that rubbing each others cocks, when i could feel the urge to cum.

I told him this and he told me to stand up. He dropped my lightweights to the floor took my cock in his mouth and proceeded to suck me as he wanked himself off.

After 10 mins of being sucked he announced he was cumming as i watched a stream of hot spunk shoot from his cock between my legs and into my lightweights i to exploded down his throat.

Later that morning i asked how he knew I'd respond to his touch he explained that he'd sucked me off through a gloryhole in town a couple of weeks ago. He'd seen me enter a cubicle in some local toilets. He was at the urinal and saw me go in. Knowing there was a glory hole he took a chance. He'd swallowed my cum then and when he found out that we were both on duty together took a chance again.

We had a couple of encounters during our posting together. He always made me cum and never demanded anything in return.

"Any of you ex-servicemen buy and wear ronhills?

Yes. They were compulsory back in the day. "

Haha I joined in 1993 and we couldn't wait to buy out first pair of Ron Hills and our fleece so we looked like our corporals 😂

Had various cock encounters while I was serving. Both with servicemen and women. Also had lots of encounters with civvies. The 70s and 80s were brilliant

"I served.

Ex Army. BAOR days of pad wives in Ron Hills and White stilettos. Struggling with the cobbles.

Don't do reunions. Travel 200 miles, to meet up with people who live 8 miles away - yet we don't get in touch? Like others have mentioned. The current day aficionados are the ones who always whinged. Wanted to PVR etc.

Enjoyed it, went to some great places

You are doing well, if you still have the physique to get away with an HH Lifa top! The thinnest material yet often too warm.

The HH Teddy bear fleece, with the thumb holes and 2 pockets. Nothing else. Still the best fleece!

Car was broken into while I was on Spearhead. HH fleece and my Gabardine smock...ffs.

More Miles do a good cheaper modern day version. If you want to sit on the settee, fiddling with your nuts.

We had a religious patriotic QMSI at our unit. Someone turned up in a pair of Union Jack Ron Hill shorts. Co's run kind of thing. They were actually bought on camp, in the Regimental PRI. Fair to say he went purple with rage.

Entertaining.
