Yes but I use it mostly to keep up with things going on in the city. Local events etc. I have zero interest in arguing with dumb people, get enough of that on here

The business prectises of Tesla and X towards their staff would be illegal in UK. Treats people very badly and stands for no criticism from anyone. Will never have my support

It used to be much more fun. Since Musk bought it I get vast quantities of GBeebies related nonsense pushed at me with a side helping of MAGA. I've always held off blocking people because I think I should hear views I don't necessarily agree with but these swathes of utterly abhorrent people is just depressing.

Despite this, it can still surprise and delight occasionally. I got a good chuckle yesterday from the very simple medium of someone sticking googly eyes on the Xenomorph from the Alien films.

Exactly this, very tempting to delete it with its current Musk bullshit.

I've been on it about 14 years though for business and feel like I'll be giving in to him if I deleted my account.

Thought it was only me, these pages pop out of nowhere and every time I open the app, it’s all just negative shite or a load of misinformation on there

I actually got a twitter account originally because a lot of guys here or on other apps had links to their porn.

In over 2 years I've only found a couple of accounts that held my attention longer than a minute.

I follow and occasionally post comments on general interest stuff but most things that find their way onto my feed are either adverts or mindless human drivel.

Used to have Twitter account mainly for politics and some campaigning I used to do but deleted it about 10 years ago as found it was an echo chamber and very toxic. Did go back on it around 5 years ago for a couple of months but it was like going back into a pub after several years and seeing the same old people, sat in same seats and telling the same old stories.

A bit late now If you no longer have the account, but if you click the ‘Following’ tab instead of the ‘For You’ tab, it gets rid of most of the crap. Since doing that, I’ve found it to be more relaxing and enjoyable.
