Watched and what an emotional roller coaster it was. The darkness in the R a p e episode was deep and yet the stalker was mad and yet you can see the pain she has endured.

It’s based on the lead actors real life experience of being stalked and all the email messages shown in the series are supposed to be messages he actually received.

I'm going to watch it, but bit concerned as I did actually have a female stalker in my 30s. Was a terrible time. I stupidly slept with her and took a few yrs to get away from her influence. She even followed me across the country to different jobs. Didn't help that she was always in a senior role. Found out much later how she had screwed me over in job roles. I even woke up one night and she had broken into my house and was thumping me. I know people think the whole thing is nothing, especially if your a male, but they can really do some damage if they put there mind to it. I went self employed in the end.

Wow that’s terrible, it’s definitely not nothing, I didn’t have it that bad but went out with a right bunny boiler who made my life hell for a while, she ended up in hospital after taking an overdose and I ended up ill with stress. She had male friends threatening to beat me up and all sorts. These people are very manipulative and can make you feel like you’re the guilty one. Thankfully it was a long time ago and not seen or heard of her since. It can ruin your life.

It was an incredible series. Really hard to watch at times as Donny sinks into his dark hole. The relationship between victim and abuser somewhat blurred at times. The truth of Martha’s story only revealed at the end.

I hope all of you who have commented about your own experiences are now well or on a journey to recovery.

I think the series shows just how complex and unfathomable these situations can be and how gender stereotypes still hinder sexual crimes against men.

A woman who stalked Harry Styles has been jailed and banned from seeing him perform. Myra Carvalho, 35, sent the singer 8,000 cards in less than a month, Harrow Crown Court was told. She was sentenced to 14 weeks' imprisonment after pleading guilty to a stalking charge on Tuesday.
