I'm about 4 episodes in. Not sure how many there is. It's got more twists and turns than the gentleman had. Really worth watching.

Really enjoyed it, some bits were hard to watch

Brave of Richard Gadd to play himself and reliving those moments whilst acting out those scenes

Raw, brutal at times and difficult to watch without cringing… but entertaining and enjoyable Kudos to Richard Gadd for putting it out there.

york, teesside, ne coast and anywhere inbetween

It is superb, great acting, and the fact it’s a true story made this drama a must to watch.

Not sure why Gadd is getting accolades and sympathetic write ups in the Guardian (typical) and the gay press. He's clearly a narcissist or fantasist. Weeks ago on the day Netfix released the show I watched 2 episodes together, and by the end, with the Woke box ticking, a leading white man thats an idiot and dislikable character, a fat crazy white woman who is weird, ugly, desperate, and dislikeable, and contrasted against a sophisticated positive role older black woman (the landlady), and her feisty smart feminist black daughter (the ex girlfriend), and a transwoman portrayed in a positive manner as a 'real' woman with no questions asked of this character other than whys the 'straight' male got 'a problem with this good woman', and we're supposed to warm to those 3 characters, well, I was done, and out with this unfunny, manipulative, tiresome politically correct for 2024 tosh. Another hyped Netflix back-slapping wokefest 'true story'.

Imagine my surprise when the news now is full of newspaper and online accusations and re-evaluation of the slander and lies that Gadd has apparently indulged in, and a woman on Piers Morgans show for an hour saying she's taking Gadd and Netflix to court.

Interestingly, theres another online drama revolving around Russell T Davies (Doctor Who) comments which are very strange indeed, in which in criticising/defending? of the show he appears to be expressing the idea that people 'suspected' of wrong-doings (sexual assault) who may be getting away with such historic misdeeds and who are portrayed in a drama purporting to be 'true' shouldn't in any way have the drama give clues as to their identity..

Uh, okay boomer..

Netfix went before a parliamentary committee and said that this is a true story, and the stalking abuse of Gadd was horrific, and yet, the woman Harvey never attacked anyone, or went to prison, and the internet (at the moment) hasn't come up with the evidence to fully back Gadds story. Though he is presently laughing all the way to the bank, reportedly earning a few million from the show.

Having now watched 2 Piers Morgan specials on this, someone is lying, someone, or both of them, Gadd and Harvey, may well have borderline personality disorders..

The psychologist Carl Jung had a theory, on coincidences, wherein, that sometimes the thing we are seeking very often seeks us out..

A well made show but a hard watch at times. It shoes just how easy it is to attract the attention of a weirdo even in such a busy place like London.

The Story beyond the actual TV drama just keeps getting more hysterical

Just watching another Piers Morgan special on Harvey, who is now going to court. Piers invites 4 guests on to talk about his recent interview with Harvey. Unfortunately he's invited Imarn Ayton. She totally dominates and won't shut up as usual. Laughingly describes herself as neither Left nor Right politically, but instead as a 'centrist'. She's a prize gaslighter. Her whole shtick is her incessant 'anti-racism, racism is everywhere and in every nook and cranny. Nothing balanced about her at all, she presents a passive aggressive air of proclaimed moderation, but is an extremist in her pugilist argumentative manner. She insists, despite all evidence to the contrary, that Netflix and Richard Gadd have not stated that everything is 'a true story' , but have intimated that they've used fiction. Total nonsense. Why she wants to defend them at all is a mystery, explained only by her pathological need to argue on tv with people.
