Rather than revive an old thread I'm posting a new one.

This subject was mentioned in another thread about penile thrush and balanitis. Had never heard of it before and now find that I am 'suffering' from it. No actual pain or discomfort but suddenly, over the last few months I find I cannot roll my foreskin back all the way especially when erect. Never had a problem in the past. No idea what has caused it. Yes I am borderline diabetic but my recent blood tests were good. Last thing I would want is circumcision as always loved having a foreskin the same as I prefer other guys to have foreskins when servicing their cocks.

Phone doctor. Get some cream. Will sort it out.

Have had this happen a few times. Cream always sorts it out. Probably end up circumcision at some point. Can't believe I hit 60 and start having problems with it. I blame Statins and the toxic waste they make you produce at both ends

Mine came on all of a sudden in 2022,

I just thought it was lack of use or a threesome I had earlier in the week had with 2 close friends where all our cocks we’re touching as we all snogged, went to clinic for routine check (which was all clear) and told them about it they gave me some steroid cream which is prescription only, said if it don’t work by 7 days then don’t continue with the cream, I can still pull it back just about and can still top no problem but it’s not comfortable.

Skin shiney when flaccid etc, at least I can pull it back to clean.

Trying to see a doctor around here is a work of art. Even then my designated GP is a grumpy old git. I am due for a check-up in the hospital urology dept this autumn so I might ask there. They are usually quite helpful

Request to see a different GP and if added why, say you find him to be a grumpy old git.

Too many of us, me included, put up with poor service from the GP.

You should feel comfortable getting your todger out for the doc, so ask to see someone else and say it's urgent.

With me it was a male doc in practice, the only one that gave me a call back. Did not have to go to surgery. Normal doc is female. Told receptionist why I was calling so guessing she passed it on to him to deal with.

Trouble here is small town and two doctor surgery. Spoken to the other one on the phone and sounded more pleasant. Had to get my bollocks out so many times for doctors and medics that it doesn't faze me one bit

I notice quite a lot of pictures posted by members showing signs of balanitis. I guess many people have never heard of it, or know how easy it is to treat.

I'm on statins btw and have never had anything like that show up on my old chap so I'd take that story with a pinch of salt.

Don't pop the salt on your bellend, a smear of Canestan would be safer.

I've found my skin getting tighter over the last few months and now it has become too tight to retract at all.

I've made an appointment with my GP, just a couple of weeks waiting though

I suspect it's a side effect of my diabetes and related medications.

Two thing you could try.

1. A very low carbohydrate diet, not just sugar but grains, starchy vegetables like potatoes and sweet fruit like apples bananas.

2. Try washing under the foreskin using only water. Some people can get sensitive to soap/shower gel.
