Has anyone else noticed this rather welcome side effect? My cock and balls hang much better now and don’t shrink in the cold either. Oh and I can pee better, since the drug has helped my prostate symptoms. Win win.

Dry orgasms,it feels good still but no or very little cum I was on it for a while and found it a novelty at first but soon got fed up with it as I'm normally a heavy cummer.

I seem to have dodged that bullet fortunately!

Can I ask what your symptoms were?

My peeing habits have changed very slightly, this came up as part of a Dr review for a different problem. I have had all prostate problems checked and no problem so I put the pee habits down to just age. In comparison to friends my age (52) I seem to be a lot better off than many i.e. I rarely have to get up in the night etc, but the Dr prescribed them anyway.

I'm hesitant to take any meds I may not really need.

What were your symptoms and has it fixed them?

Ta

Major side effect to be aware of....this medicine, in addition to rrkaxing the prostate (the purpose for which it is usually prescribed) also acts as a blood pressure reducer, so if you are already on BP tablets be careful. I was prescribed it by a hospital oncologist. First morning after taking it, litterally fell over...in combination with existing BP trablets, BP was down to 112 !

I went back to bed.....

Didn't improve my prostate issue which needed surgery to rectify, Tamsulosin let to retrograde ejaculation for me also - I was happy to get off it in the end.

I had similar potential problem when another similar drug was prescibed for me. I read the leaflet which warned that it lowers blood pressure. I check my own blood pressure and pulse rate. It is already low, due to BP med and changed life style with pulse rate as low as 46, so I declied to take the new drug. GPs did not spot that this additional drug would be a dangerous addition for me. Motto is, always read the leaflet or research a new drug and make your own decision or go back to the medic for another solution.

I was on tamsulosin but I saw a urologist and he changed it to low dose (5mg) daily tadalafil. Does the same job, eliminates the problem with ejaculation and gives me rampant stiffies. Tadalafil is better known as Cialis. There are other benefits such as reducing risk of stroke and heart attacks.

You can't take tadalafil and tamsulosin at the same time.
