Got to agree with that. Now retired I am catching up with Classic Emmerdale in ITV3 at lunchtime. Far more fun with some great characters e.g. Betty, Edna, Len, Pearl, Val, Diane etc. Yes some tragedy and high drama but not non-stop doom and gloom like it is nowadays. As for Hollyoaks I really don't know why I bother.

Thought it was on the cards at one stage. They seemed to be getting on rather well. However Aaron has found a new love and Mack, married to Charity and having fathered a kid with the insipid Chloe, is almost definitely straight.
