I was there last week.

Copper Private Club is a small, busy cruising bar - it’s temporarily closed until 21st. There was an entry fee (€12 I think) which included one drink and a locker.

Kuma Bar is nice with a cruising area in the back.

Bear’s Bar is similar (ignore the bear thing, it’s all types). They’re free to get in but you have to buy drink. In both of these bars, place a beer mat on top of your drink to show you’re coming back to it.

I went to a couple of other gay bars which were small and not to my liking - shit music.

There’s a place called El Sofa which in the evenings is a swingers club. Daytimes until about 18:30, are only exclusively men-only on a Tuesday but I was there on a Sunday and it was all blokes. It’s a big place with 3 “cinemas” and some glory holes. There’s an entry fee which includes a drink. Lockers require a £10 deposit.

There are a lot more bars than this but I was only there 4 nights.

In all bars, if you drink spirits the “measures” are large.

Casa Don Juan (opposite the sex shop) is super. Great for people-watching.

I would have added Olivers, but the ex-fella got the pair of us banned from there.

During the day unfortunately not. El Sofa opens around Lunch time and Peek a Boo just before 12.

El Sofa is getting a bit of a reputation for moving away from the gay/bi side to more swinging

Peek a Boo is closed for a few days and re opens Sunday

H20 opens at 3 pm daly recently is closed on a Monday and Tuesday

Caspers bar is open during day not sure if it’s still there . It’s a gay friendly bar run by a gay couple who were lovely food was good too

Bar El Papagayo on Calle de Santa Faç, always a nice friendly vibe there, run by a Dutch couple I think.

I’ve usually enjoyed my visits to El Sofa. Last few times haven’t been the way it used to be in the old premises. I do hope you enjoy yourself Sara. At least the rest of the old town is there for you to enjoy. Incase of disappointment

Hi all,

I'll be visiting late April/early May.

I'll be there Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

Unfortunately I am visiting with my straight mates and have to join in with the lads lads lads stuff.

Is there anywhere that is open, or will let you in, in the small hours like 3-4am when i slip off?

Some of the late bars are Kuma & Bears.Mercury is a late bar but I cannot confirm from experience. You’ll not get much open in the old town past 4am

Some of the bar owners and staff head down to Cafe B in the new town. When the old town bars close

Spirit is also a late bar but I honestly haven’t noticed it open this week

Prefer Kuma to Bears. There’s a new one opened on Calle la Paz Extreme xx I think it’s called. Haven’t tried it yet. So couldn’t comment but definitely going to try it out on my next visit

Old town for gay bars. New town Levante is mostly British bars all ages young and old, both areas are fun new bit is mostly straight people or straight guys looking for a chance to sneak off to the old town
