A little manners

Waste of time posting this but it's frustrating. I see a guy who's relatively new with 3 pictures but no verification very close and looking to meet ( also seems to be online most of the time). I fit what he's looking for and he can accommodate . I send him just a couple of messages ( hi and I see you're local are you interested in meeting) and get no reply, Okay he might have missed the message but I have noticed that he's blocked me? Also I had received a wink when he joined. I know I'm just pissing up the wall with this post and there's no real reply but it's nice to vent haha. When someone asks to meet me and they're not my type I usually politely explain that to them, apologies and wish them luck finding a meeting. Common courtesy is free lol I guess the saying "there's nowt as queer as folk" applies here. In the long run it's things like this that makes me politely avoid chatting with new unverified accounts which in turn affects the genuine new guys! I'm very thankful that I met and was verified my first time on here, I didn't realise at the time the difference it can make. Especially when it's bi married lads who are looking for discretion haha. Anyway sorry for the wall of text, hope you are all well and getting lots of sex.

You cannot win here.

When you don't reply to someone you are rude. When you reply to someone saying they are not your type, why the fuck did you bother.

I have had both these reactions.

To me, ignoring messages and/or ghosting are rude, unnecessary and also lead to more guys doing so, with which diminishing the probability of genuine guys actually meeting.

But there is the other point of view too - why do I bother replying at all (which I find utterly mannerless, but many guys seem to share).

There needs to be a national inquiry to establish what are the rules of etiquette for on-line communication.

A happy-medium between the courtship rituals of a Jane Austen novel and a swipe left.

I always reply to people who make some kind of effort…

But some people don’t deserve an answer…i.e.

I get many messages with …Hi!

With No pics,No verification, poor or no profile ,can’t accommodate

What do people expect?

Have to add though..some fantastic guys on here if one makes the effort to filter them out…

I usually reply except to those who do not read my profile properly, or ping pong nothing messages back, or just say hi and nothing on their profile

The only messages i ignore are those from people who clearly haven't bothered reading my profile. Everybody else i will reply to even if its just to say thanks but no thanks.

It depends on the quality of message and profile.

I've learnt that sometimes blocking them saves on the abuse that then follows.

It is rude not to reply to a decent message however it’s same rude to send unasked messages, messages with gaping holes or dick pics, rude to send random message without reading profile.

I reserve my right no to reply to:

- These who hasn’t read my profile and offer a thing I specifically say I am not a big fan of

- outside my age preference (unless clearly stated why I could change my mind)

- these who sends unsolicited close up pics in the first message.

- any sort of short messages like Hi, How are you etc (it is also in my profile I won’t reply)

- any response for forum topics if I haven’t asked for pm.

From the FAQ section

There are too many rude people on here who don't reply to my messages!

It's not rude not to reply.

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you can safely assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

I stopped responding with polite "not for me, thank you" after the umpteenth abusive message back along the lines of "didn't want to meet anyway you fat/old/small cock bastard" or similar.

I normally respond but occasionally one slips through and I delete before I reply. But for someone then to question my manners and my up bringing by my parents over steps the mark and then the coward blocks before you can respond flicks my fuck off switch

You cannot expect everyone to behave as you do. They have free will.

You may not like it but there is nothing you can do to change it.

Accept it and move forward.

A wink gets a reply, sometimes it goes somewhere, sometimes it does't. A message always gets a reply as long as it isn't abusive.

No reply to a message I've sent, if I can see they've read it usually ends up as a block so I don't waste more time on them
