Been chatting to a local guy for the past few days, things seemed to looking promising then suddenly……… BLOCKED !!!!

Why ? I really do not understand some guys. WTF ??

I doubt if it's anything personal

Most likely he was anxious, concerned about what he was venturing into.

Maybe you lived nearby?

Who knows?

I block guys for specific reasons

We are completely incompatible

He is offensive or threatening

There is no chance of meeting because of personal circumstances, location or interests

But like you, I have been blocked arbitrarily

Nobody but the blocker knows the reason for blocking someone, he might have got scared of what may have happened had you met, he might have finally shot a load whilst chatting, on the other hand he may have though there was nothing left to chat about or you may even have been boring him... who knows, but don't dwell on it, just forget about him and carry on. No doubt that's what he's done.

It may be something completely innocent such as he changed his preferences for receiving messages.

I was on the point of changing mine this evening and then realised that it would have inadvertently blocked one of my best friends on here.

This is very true, and easily done. A lot of people don't realise that their preferences can block others from contacting them, just by being 1 year too old etc.

I dont tend to block unless theres a real neccesity. I understand the offence it can cause and that it may not be obvious why Ive blocked them. This can cause confusion, as evinced, and I dont want to leave people that way. I take them as I find them

Most likely, in the circumstances you describe, he couldn't go through with it and got cold feet. It happens, forget it and move on.

Try not to take blocks personally, people use a block for all sorts of reasons. I've arbitrarily blocked dozens without even chatting, just because I know I'm not their thing or vice versa.

I’m blocked by a few. I had one guy block me because, I presume ,I didn’t answer a message quickly enough. I think I read it, dealt with a work call went to rely and I was blocked. Oh well such is life.

There was a guy who fabbed every pic in my gallery and sent me a wink. He did both 3 times but he'd blocked me the first time and still has.

Sometimes people block because not Ur type this can sometimes occur during chatting eg piss play is mentioned kissing cuddling etc that's not their thing so they block I block sometimes as we are not compatible so I don't contact them again by accident
