My parents went to see him live at a club in the 80,s, his Act was a lot more brutal than his tv one,Apparently he would approach random guys sat at tables with there wives etc and pick up their pints and down them before running off saying chase me, Apparently he did this for most of the night he must have been hammered.

You could at least get his name right.

Duncan Norvelle.

I saw him during his "Legends of the Oche" tour in 2009, with Eric Bristow, John Lowe and Bobby George. He was the presenter and did a few jokes, as well as having a laugh with a few members of the crowd. Good, honest fun.

Some guys on here seem to spend a lot of time on here finding any excuse to critisize others. I'm surprised they can get Internet reception from their Morale high ground.

I knew exactly what you meant.

He was a comedian from my teenage years. And in the naivety of adolescence, assumed he was gay because of his act.

I remember being surprised to hear he was straight too

I liked him. Certainly a unique act.

I assumed he was gay but it was just part of his act. My sister and brother in law are friends of his agent at the time. They met him a couple of times. They said he was straight. They also said he was a heavy smoker which could explain his untimely death aged 66 from a chest infection and sepsis. He had a stroke a few years ago so all the pointers to a smoking related death are there
