Sir y Fflint

To continue the round of MC:-

I must say spiffingly good play all around chaps, some devilishly impish moves in evidence.

It is with much relief and pleasure that I am able to announce that late yesterday our national security forces apprehended our imposter, on first impressions he seemed to be a bona fide fully paid-up Bullington Club member and more worryingly one of our esteemed MC players!

To cut a rather lengthy story short, further investigation revealed that the imposter was an A.I. robotic automaton, made to exactly replicate the image of a highly respected MC player who has taken to his Carribbean estate for the winter duration!

I'm finding the complete saga most distasteful and very difficult to comprehend, anyway he's / it's been disassembled and analysed in a govt laboratory this very moment!

The wretched and confounded bbeast er - mmachine, rrobot or whatever the infernal thing is /was ran up quite a tab at the bar too, very partial to a well matured Speyside Malt it seems!!

After such an incredible episode, my old chum Trumpy is treating me to lunch at his Mayfair club, decent chap old Trumpy, so to:-

Sloane Square.

Dashed quality play there chaps, seamlessly dovetailed!

Just had a call from the chaps at MI5 who have assured me that our recent robotic imposter has now been totally disassembled and its components are currently being forensically analysed at their central laboratory.

A classic move there Homooso, well manoeuvred!

You'll of course realise that you'll need an appointment and a password to gain entry to MI5, but ask to see "Brenda" in "Dept Q" he has versatile hands that heal with anything technical, he was an absolute whizz with my old Bush when a valve blew last back-end.

Well, it's very quiet on all fronts this evening and it's a while since I've checked in, so I'm going to attempt Eisenbahn's Triple to hopefully touch base at:-

Mornington Crescent.

Over to you to put the next round into play chaps, double points this evening for the inclusion of an Ampersand and there's a Edradour Malt awaiting you at The Bullington.

Well crafted and nicely executed chaps, MC play at its best.

I was browsing through the MC archive earlier to discover some rarely played moves, exactly 60 years ago this very evening, on 16th December, 1964 at 20.02 hrs, the late Col. Bruce White VC undertook his Halfaya Pass (Hellfire Pass) Manoeuvre to arrive safely on time at:-

Dashed spiffing play there Hardy old boy, interesting to learn of your liking of hirsutism, although damned far from my own preference in the ...err department of the 'nads of course - I hasten to add!

Well, I say!... a state of inebriation certainly lubricates and fine tunes your acute prowess.

Invalid move, please make yourself familiar with the 1952 Bullington Club Convention Rules (as amended) which state that a currently open LT rail network station must be named in every move.

I have made an extensive search through the MC annals and it is with regret that I am unable to trace any references to the Auerbach Defence which would indicate that its use has not been approved.

I did fully comprehend your question regarding the Auerbach Defence old chap, I was merely pointing out that there was no such reference to such in the minuted records of the MC annals that I ploughed through with a fine tooth comb, so to reiterate my answer, the lack of reference to the Auerbach Defence in the MC record would indicate that it had not been approved for play, in retrospect I should have also stated therefore that it's not allowed within the MC game. Although I think that you've already concluded so.

I thank you for implementing the provision under the Perriweather Convention and your impressive move to Beacontree. A devil of a place to negotiate as I recall, so bravo! bravo!
