If you're feeling brave there's an old school Turkish baths meets Russian banya not too far away, in Canning Town.

Proper, really hot steam rooms, plunge pools, and even a decent schmeiss.

There are a few Turkish Hammams in London, a couple I know of are the Enfield area.

The one I've mentioned is in an undeveloped, scruffy industrial area of Docklands, and is more Jewish/Russian.
