I’d like it to be Joe Root. He’s proven himself to be consistent over time and a decent guy with it

I agree, many of the other nominees seem a little too young. I also feel they've snubbed Daniel Dubois, former British, Commonwealth and current world heavyweight boxing champion.

Cant agree more. Been follo3 Daniel for years now. he will be undisputed and then they will all want him on the BBC .

I saw him box a few times when he was a young amateur, one of my sons fought in the same shows as him although they never fought each other, too much of a weight difference.

My son can strike up a conversation with anyone, and chatted with him a few times. I think he's actually quite shy and insular though.

Have to admit that he looked a bit odd amongst all the fit athletes

But I guess it's about being the world champion, the best in the world, like snooker?

so what's the difference between throwing a dart or throwing a javelin. Or hitting a ball into a pocket or kicking a ball into a goal net. Its about handling . the pressure that's why we're not all good at everything sport is not just physical. XXX

I use to like this show.

With the all female presenters, and it’s ultra Inclusive and woke agenda. I felt Excluded.

I switched it off, as I’d already Guessed the result.

The format stinks.

It’s irrelevant because it no longer carries any Gravitas. The BBC are one of several broadcasters that provide sports coverage. The BBC is not the best anymore.

Yes, the ever reliable and credible GBeebies are reporting that fans are outraged but it's not as if they have any reason to try and discredit the BBC at every opportunity.

I agree, it just happened to be on, I'm not a sports fan at all, but watched some of it, it just seemed like some outdated crap presented by some old has-been faces, a typically poor quality BBC offering like that abysmal fixed Strictly programme. Yet the Beeb once had the reputation for quality broadcasting, personally I think it's well and truly had its day and needs to be sold off to the highest bidder to free us all of having to pay the licence fee!

It’s fun as a pastime…

But it doesn’t promote fitness or teamwork which are the main benefits of sports to a youngster…

Saw some kids playing in an academy on breakfast TV this morning..many of them overweight…not a good start!

It must be the only sport where the "athletes" drink pints of beer during the match.
