The objective that started out in the US was to make it possible for any male to assert they were a woman and be recognised as such, i.e. that no clinical intervention was needed. That in turn lead to the mantra "Trans Woman are Woman". Activists here tried to re-interpret the legislation so that anyone who declares themselves to be a woman is de facto a woman. Transvestites, cross-dressers, whoever. It's now been baked into the EDI training of companies and organisations that signed up with Stonewall etc. The last government started to push back on this by re-asserting the position as it is law, not the ideological position of Stonewall etc | |||

It’s easiest understood if we reverted to two descriptions - trans sexual a person make or female wanting to be the opposite sex from what they were actually born as . Therefore making an attempt to transition through drugs and operations ie breast enhancement in the case of Mtf or removal in the case of Ftm , there may or may not be an attempt to replace or attain a penis dependent on which way the transition is . A lot of trans sexual particularly makes stop short and keep their man parts but have boobs , women too sometimes retain their vagina ,but remove their breasts , these are what should be identified as not fully transitioned transsexuals ,whilst those that have gone the full hog , are fully transitioned to their desired sex . Transvestites - simply guys / girls that love to dress as the opposite sex , but make a considerable effort to appear feminine in the case of guys or masculine in the case if women . Cross dressers cds , may or may not make similar attempts at trying to look passable as the opposite sex through clothes/ wigs etc but are more likely to be just blokes in frocks or girls in guys gear . | |||
