Haven't heard anything about John Fury in the run-up to the fight. Which can only be good. He had become an acute embarrassment to Team Fury. Boxing should never be about thuggery.

Really unsure whether Fury fighting at over 20 stone will be good or bad for him. Yes will give him a litlle more power but for how long. He*s never been a ferocious power puncher and it could work against him from around round 8 due to draining stamina. Usk by KO, TKO or DQ.

Dubois fought him once in 2023 and was stopped in 9th but fight very controversial cos Dubois hurt him badly with body shots but at least one was deemed below the belt and Usyk was given an age to recover. Dubois still young for heavyweight and improving all the time. Not sure we will see an Usyk vs Dubois rematch, firstly cos I doubt Usyk will be too keen on it and secondly he was already talking about moving back down to Cruiserweight even before Fury rematch.

Dubois was in the ring at the end of the fight, obviously pre-arranged, and they agreed to a rematch.

Joshua and Fury are the ones who have been ducking each other for years, all to protect their titles and income. If they do arrange something now, with no title to fight for it will be meaningless.

DD will now at last have a proper shot at Usuyk. But as much as i love Dubois you have to admire Usyk all these years.. One of the top 5 greats ?
