East end

For the past couple of weeks every time I orgasm nothing comes out, I’ve not had an operation in the past, should I be concerned? Could it be a simple explanation or something more serious? I am diabetic.

When a person orgasms but little or no semen comes out, it's called a dry orgasm. This can be caused by a number of conditions, including:

Retrograde ejaculation

Also known as dry orgasm, this occurs when semen is pushed back into the bladder instead of out of the body. It can be caused by structural issues with the urethra or certain medications, such as prostate medications, high blood pressure medications, or antidepressants.

Genetic conditions

Some people don't produce enough semen to ejaculate due to genetics. For example, Klinefelter syndrome and cystic fibrosis can affect ejaculation.

Other health conditions

Other conditions that can cause dry orgasm include:

Blocked sperm duct

Diabetes

Male hypogonadism (testosterone deficiency)

Multiple sclerosis

Spinal cord injury

Surgery or radiation therapy

Surgical removal of the prostate or bladder, or radiation therapy to treat cancer in the pelvic area can cause dry orgasm.

If you're experiencing sexual difficulties, you should talk to your doctor about treatment.

Probably noting to worry about, it is quite common, Google "Dry orgasm" but worth a trip to the doctor too

Indeed, probably something simple, but best advise is to get your GP to check it out for you.

I experience a similar thing. It feels like the pump has stopped working, more of an anti-climax than a proper climax. I rarely wank these days and that may have something to do with it. Fortunately my last wank resulted in a decent jet but I intend to mention it next time I have to see a GP.

I’ve recently started medication for mildly enlarged prostate and my ejaculate has reduced but the sensation remains.
