"I wish it could be Christmas every day"!!! Logistically ridiculous. I'm sure the TV companies would be happy as they could just put on old films, endless repeats and corny 'specials'. Turkey farmers might be happy to. But with shops and industry closed down things would be pretty bleak. Also either having to spend time with and pretending to be nice to family and 'friends' or stuck at home alone, would be very tedious.

I'd like the quiet roads and peaceful walks more than once a year.

"I'd like the quiet roads and peaceful walks more than once a year."

It’s delightful to hear the silence on Christmas Day. It’s the hunt today , so will have the clip clop of hooves and the excited yelps of the hounds passing by this morning. Sadly more Candida’ s and Clarissa’s than hunky Zanders and Tarquins in Hunting Pink …

A friend slipped on our stairs on Christmas day morning. We had to phone an ambulance it took just 40 mins. They took her to hospital. Long story short. She had surgery for a fractured ankle at about 8 pm on Christmas day. All the hospital staff were fantastic. Working hard and in good spirits. Yesterday taught me that all the commercial bollox about Christmas doesn't matter. People at Christmas whether you know them or not do matter

Fucking hate Christmas the family can all fuck off as well

I'd rather be in a house in the middle of nowhere, preferably the Highlands turn the phone off lock the door now that would be bliss

Everybody leaving at 12 or 1 or 2 am last night on my street, thank god I don't host for Xmas. Pleasant day! My cats got their 12th and 13th scratchposts and we played a lot and watched cat dvds and listened to cat music, last night my girl cat said (looking at her scratchposts) "I have enough", it was a truly lovely day where I didn't get d*unk.
