You would be best to get to a physio first a proper assessment as the damage caused can be made worse if not handled with the full facts.

Can u self refer to a musculoskeletal service? Or get your GP to do it for you?

You can self-refer to this service if you are 16 or older and have a back or neck problem, muscle or joint pain, or a recent injury. You can also be referred by a GP, consultant, or other allied health professional. The service is available in various locations, including Fern House, Antrim Area Hospital, Ballymena Health and Care Centre, and Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ballymoney.

Book an appointment at your local GP surgery to see the physio then they will do referral to msk ...basically it's taken 3 years in all diagnosis all in had test, multiple scans . hands on consultant specialist under NHS hospital and msk senior level pain consultant ...they end up offering me pain killers non addicted non sedate aswell every 3/4months only 100 tablets they help relax my muscles ,nerves .I have trapped nerves in my arms & neck ..painful at times ..but unfortunately .no injections,no hydro .no acupuncture,no acupressure either ...basically .I have to seek and finance specialist massage therapy for neck shoulder and arms preferably every couple of weeks £70/80 ...it's a joke ...NHS have taken all these therapies away apart from injections ...which I am not compatible due to the nerve damage done wish you well
