Great sadness, his distinctive tones will be missed as will his personality, knowledge and humour, from pirate radio to national icon, RIP my ‘brummie buddy’!

Great broadcaster , his 70s show was fantastic as he played everything and anything that was a hit , from Bay City Rollers to Pink Floyd . Remember during lockdown when he was presenting from home with Tiggy , loved those Sunday afternoons . RIP Johnnie . Has been great to listen to you . x

What a shame…….

Someone that genuinely loved music, especially 1970’s ROCK - the best genre, full stop.

RIP J.W.
