old Coulsdon

After watching the film Rush over Christmas which got me thinking. In your opinion which team over all the years of racing had the best livery on their car? I'm going for the JPS Lutos in Black and Gold.

Very nice, but prefer the Lotus49B in Gold Leaf colours.

Ive always liked the red and white marlboro mclarens, the black and gold jps lotus is very iconic though.

Also like the blue and white olivetti brabhams from the early 80's

North London (outer)

None. I was never a fan of their over-the-top, extremely brash way of branding their sport.

Thankfully they can't glamorise oilies any more.

Rather liked the old Benetton cars. More recently the retro Gulf McLaren was a great livery. One should also applaud LH and AMG Mercedes for the BLM black livery, bold move.

My favourite was the 7up livery in Jordan's first year.

I had a bit part in Rush. On terms of on car advertising lotus started it with the move away from national racing colors with the Gold Leaf cars and then the iconic JPS. The Olympus sponsored cars were similarly classy. That was a golden if not a safe age of motorsport.

Not F1 but the Jags, Porsche and Ford's from the 60s and 70s were the best in my opinion.

My favorite will always be the '92 Williams of Mansell. That car was awesome.

Aston Martin green is my favourite, pity about the car quality, can Mr Newey turn them into serious challengers next season 🤔.

Another shout out for the 7Up livery of Jordan and honourable mentions to Larousse & Simtek for their ability to use gaudy colour schemes to good effect.

London / Work Abroad

The Alfa Romeo 185T driven by Patrese / Cheever. Benetton colours with red highlights and gold coloured wheel rims.

Was a shockingly bad car but what a beauty !!
