Back in the day when I was travelling with work, used to try and take in a few saunas.

Probably best experience was being spit roasted by 2 dome in a Sauna just outside of Bristol.

What are your experiences, and where do you recommend?

Love sauna sauna in northwich, basement in Manchester, pleasuredrome in London and outside in Belfast, been to boilerhouse in Dublin as well, tried greenhouse in darlaston as well

My favourite sauna is buried under whatever they built on the site of Chariots Shoreditch.

The same happened to Unit 2 in B'ham.

Northwich is an impressive place but such a ball ache for me to get to.

Greenhouse Luton is now my nearest, done the Darlaston a few times too.

Maybe just the times I visit but never seem that busy nowadays.

Pink Broadway Southampton was my favourite before it closed. Clean, air-conditioning and a good mixture of sleaze and social.

Pleasuredome, Waterloo serves a purpose. It's a good spa but feels quite corporate and unfriendly.

In terms of cheap and cheerful, the old Chariots were great.

Nero's in Bury is becoming a favourite - sauna, jacuzzi (no steam room) and a good variety of different play spaces, with condoms and lube available without rationing.

The first one I went to was Spartan in Leeds. It was pretty basic in an end terrace house but I remember copping off with a guy within five minutes. Much better than hanging around a public toilet, I thought!

I agree, Portsea is great, I've always had a good time. It lacks a cinema room but otherwise can't fault it. Always a friendly crowd and usually younger men looking for older, which is perfect for me.
