She died yesterday but with very little press coverage today which is a shame as she was a very prolific person in the ‘60s. Who remembers her and the Mars bar stories? RIP Marianne

No, I'm sure she was but surely she shouldn't be defined by whoever her boyfriend was.

A sad loss.

Love 'The Eyes of Lucy Jordan ' and ' Sister Morphine '.

Also her collaboration with Metallica, as others have said.

I loathe how the media only focuses on the mainstream stuff that people do.

Like when Joan Plowright died recently it was all about her being married to Sir Lawrence Oliver. They were great women in their own right and should be remembered as such.

Here, there or somewhere nearish March

I have most of her albums. After the sixties Marianne Faithfull re-entered my consciousness when A Child’s Adventure was released and I’ve followed her musical adventures since then. If you only know of her through the salacious stories or As Tears Go By, you have a lot exploring ahead if you so wish. Her autobiographical books, acting, writing and music have fascinated me for decades. So long, Marianne. File It Under Fun From The Past. 💐💐

She was very much part of a time gone never to be repeated, she had a talent largely overlooked and lost in gossip!

Totally agree, her years with Jagger did her damage, but she lifted herself up and recorded some fine albums, Broken English, Dangerous Acquaintances. Few of us will have such a fine epitaph

A sad loss, Broken English is an excellent album.

She seems to embody the saying that if you remember the 60s you weren’t actually there.
