Just wondering if people are put off with guys with disabilities? A lot of guys go quiet or disappear when I tell them I'm deaf.

That's a shame ... It's the person that matters, not the disability.

None of us are perfect

No I can't sign as I was never shown how to. Tinnitus is awful, I managed to reduce my tinnitus by reducing the amount of chocolate I ate. Turns out chocolate for some reason can cause it to get worse.

I wouldn’t be put off. We’re all different. I can assume some guys go quiet as by default we try to avoid awkward situations and perhaps they are afraid they won’t be able to communicate with you. I’d suggest , when telling them that you are deaf, continue by saying it doesn’t affect anything and you communicate by…..

Best of luck, if we were close, I’d meet you

In my mind it’s not about disabilities but different abilities. Having spent a lot of my life working with people who are differently able in outdoor adventure and recognising how each has adapted to participate I see absolutely no reason for them to be discriminated against. I certainly wouldn’t turn down an invitation based on deafness or any other difference, as long as there was a spark of interest in both directions.

Mines a gift from not wearing hearing protection, and is also one of many symptoms of having post traumatic stress disorder.

I live with it mostly

Can't see what being deaf has to do with you ability to enjoy sex. No reasonable guy should be put off by deafness

I'm a right leg below knee amputee and wear a prosthetic leg. I never used to mention it before meets. But after one meet one guy messaged us to say he had a good time, but sorry it was rushed as my leg had come as a shock. He didn't want to just leave so went through the motions but didn't want to meet again.

Then another guy, before a meet, I mentioned my leg and his reply was, "it's not your leg I want to f**k".

So now it's on our profile for all to see and so its up to them to decide.

Although if the first message is "I've never f**ked an amputee before", then that's an instant block, I'm not a freak show.

I enjoyed a positive meet with a chub. He needed crutches to walk, I didn't know until arrival at his hotel.

He had an enthusiastic attitude. I helped him step over the bath, we enjoyed a horny shared shower, moved to bed, he gave a superb BJ and swallowed.

Went out with a deaf guy for a while several years ago. Met him in a very loud nightclub and had no idea he was deaf till the next day! Wouldn't have made any difference. Very open minded. We communicated perfectly well, he used to lipread and I learnt some signs. This was before texting and we used to use a telephone service called type talk, where you went through an operator (he had a special text type home phone). Not for a dirty chat, though, as the operator had to type it out!

There’s someone I see from time to time with mobility disability, a super bloke who knows what he’s doing when naked, yet because he can’t accommodate and finds travelling difficult he gets no offers. Admittedly he needs someone living close he can get to it being picked up, but he really suffers because he’s disabled

Some guys on here are so fickle and judgemental. I’m a super chubby guy and disabled. Some of the comments I get on here are downright nasty.

That's a shame. One of the sexiest guys I ever went with was a ginger guy who happened to be deaf. Went back for another go!

Depends on the person really if they make me happy then why not? I am friends with a lesbian couple and one of them is in a wheelchair, I call them the janitor and the wheelie bin lol. I wouldn't call them that if I thought they couldn't take it, they've been together for a long time and the disability doesn't hold them back.

Had an encounter once with a guy who could not speak. Dumb or mute somehow sounds insulting but he had never been able to. Very much able bodied and highly intelligent. Worked as a chef. Communication was a little difficult but we had a great time.
