As the title says, I am willing to cam but don't want to show my face. Unfortunately the only way I see to adjust it is by going live and messing around. The options are very limited and when I do manage to prop the phone in the perfect position I can't read the chat on another device without paying another membership
Use a PC to access the site and either a plug in camera or your phone as the camera.

If your phone is a modern Android, you can connect an external webcam using an OTG (On The Go) lead. There are apps that check if your phone is OTG compatible which you can uninstall after checking.
If you have an iPhone,I have no idea. You can look it up on the web.
