Wherever I go, I book a double room and say that my partner is arriving later. That way they never query when I take someone in.

THIS every time- it's none of their business and the people at the desks do not care - they have the money by then.

Premier Inn have great beds and free WiFi. Also if staying for several nights the staff never go into your room unless you ask for valet service.

Neither Premier or T/L staff care who you take to your room.

And 'who is near' works at both.

Idbcincur on the beds. In fact I've just bought one for home and it is superb.

Sharing it with Lenny Henry is the only drawback.

That’s not a factual statement. I practically live in Premier Inns working away all over the UK and it depends on which hotel you are staying at.

Some are designed so you don’t have to walk past reception to get to the stairs or lifts. Most have key card entries now. I have seen people challenged numerous times by reception staff. I have actually been challenged myself because I was a bit slow trying to find my keycard to access the lift.

However my favourite ones are the larger ones with separate annexes or blocks of bedrooms away from reception.

I find Travel Lodges a bit dire, especially the converted office block ones in city centres where you can hear the person in the next room using the bathroom!

Actually I find Ibis hotels to be very good for meeting.

There’s a few around here and I’ve visited them all over the years with no problems.

Where's the menu on the premier inn website to select your top? I've never found it... It wasn't Lenny Henry was it?

Premier inn have far better rooms I agree the bigger ones with a separate annex are the best, village hotels you can get to the room without a swipe

They have a new 'business model' which involves no bar or restaurant, except for residents, and everyone has to go via reception. Older sites are being upgraded and all new sites will follow the new model. Reasoning is the restaurants were not profitable post covid.

Last time I stayed in a Premier Inn, there was a guy who popped up on Who's Near and it said he was within touching distance.

Turned out he was in the room opposite. Needless to say we were both soon naked and covered in cum.

Premier Inn have nicer rooms than Travelodge. I've had some great meets in Premiet Inns around the country, but never any luck in the odd Travelodge I've stayed at. Holiday Inn Express are also great.
