I have one that I bought which some of the money my dad left when he died. I’m also making a steampunk smart watch using an old pocket watch case to contain it. But I don’t think two of anything would constitute a collection.

Have a collection, my favourite is a 1915 Omega trench watch, picked it up on Andy not working for 65 quid, couple of hundred quid on repairs, servicing and paperwork. Now worth in the region of 3-4k

Not a collector but imlooking for someone or somewhere that can replace the glass on my everyday watch without it costing a bomb. I’ve been quoted £75. The watch isn’t worth that now!!

I started but frankly it’s too expensive

I like Automatics

Got some excellent premium watches and some Seiko’s

I adore my Seiko’s and bought them as daily beater watches

I have my Grail watch , which I hardly wear so a bad purchase I suppose

Then a best going out watch worth every penny

Some other automatic dress watches and a nice vintage dress watch

Then stopped as I tend to only wear two of the group

I still get the urge though when I see something that I like

I inherited a silver cushion shaped Omega military watch from about the same period. Engraved on the inside of the case back is Servan Bordeaux. I thought who was Servan Bordeaux and didn't give it much thought. No internet at the time. Servan Bordeaux is the retailer. It was bought from Servan in Bordeaux. I got a period newspaper advert for the store from eBay. Just for interests sake. I had it valued at £600 to £700. Last year. They thought it too small for current fashion. Not bling enough. However fashion is changing and actors and celebrities are wearing smaller watches again. The value may increase. I don't care really it was my dad's. It's not for sale.

I treated myself to an Oris big crown a couple of years ago. I'd wanted one for a few years

Uk

Had a watch given for my birthday last year. Expensive but had to return. Malfunction. Giver totally agreed. Then two more watches from a different shop. Expensive. Both corroded within a couple of days underneath. Returned.

Went to Eastbourne in September.

Little shop on pier, bought Poedegar watch.

Absolutely brilliant.

Best watch ever , real leather strap AND

only £10.

WOW

Except Crocodile Dundee did have a watch, it was in his hat. That was the joke about telling the time when he was looking at the sun.

I can watch the Ideal World TV shows where they sell watches for ages, if I could afford one I would love a self winding skeleton mechanical watch…..so nice to see the movement working.

Yes! I've had so many over the years and currently own about 20, which isn't that many, but one is certainly not enough. I don't go for expensive watches, I focus on the look of them. My last purchase was five of the same type in different colours for £30!
