It isn’t an offence is someone is caused offence or distress. After all you can never tell who will be upset by what. The offence is doing it with the intention of causing offence or distress. They have to prove that is why you did it.

Even if yiu knew someone was going to be offended doesn’t make it a crime if you were simply doing it for your own pleasure.

The College of Policing Guidelines on naturism and nudity in public places is very specific.

Yesterday I took a different route in some quieter woods.

A guy came around a corner ahead of me. He looked like he was wearing a brown baggy jumper. As he got closer I realised he was totally naked. He had a rucksack on and a walking pole. Tanned all over so I could tell he did it on a regular basis.

In a typically British way we both said good afternoon like it was perfectly ordinary.

I couldn't help but wonder if he's a member here?

There's a couple of nude beaches I've been to where the only people using the paths are likely to be nudists too. After seeing people now & then nide on the paths have often stripped off as soon as I can walking on down to the nude beach.

Have stripped off on some longer hikes in the middle of nowhere, but it's amazing how often you see people heading your way in the distance. Another day, not nude and won't see anyone
