Actually, legally, you are 100% wrong. Simple public nudity in pursuit of a lawful activity is not illegal. There are three caveats to this. There must be no sexual activity. You must not be mentally I'll. You must not intend to cause fear and alarm. However, I take your general point, commonsense applies. Don't walk in small woods where there is a carpark. You are inviting problems. I walk my local hills naked five days a week. I go early, all weathers except heavy rain, and never on a Sunday. Most people know me and I wear a cap so, for someone I haven't met before, I cover up.

It isn’t an offence is someone is caused offence or distress. After all you can never tell who will be upset by what. The offence is doing it with the intention of causing offence or distress. They have to prove that is why you did it.

Even if yiu knew someone was going to be offended doesn’t make it a crime if you were simply doing it for your own pleasure.

The College of Policing Guidelines on naturism and nudity in public places is very specific.
