Well I’ve always that sissy is a certain way of dressing coupled with a mind set x

I am a crossdresser who once or twice has dressed in a sissy maid outfit for rolplay fun x

Sissy maid is the big petticoat frills ribbons etc and covers most of the body z

I think there is a big difference in sissy submissive or just a bottom x

Happy to be corrected x

Interesting point!

To me, a 'sissy' is a very effeminate guy who is clearly playing a role for the event. Submissive usually. A crossdresser is someone dresses as the opposite sex for their own pleasure as well as that of others, not solely for sex.

I may be wrong as I am not attracted to either group but that is how I view it.

A Cross Dresser is like a chameleon who loves a good wardrobe change, while a Sissy is a fabulous individual who rocks their own vibe darling! But honestly? One dresses differently, the other acts differently – and both are fabulous in their own sparkly, sequinned way!

I'd probably go with

A sissy is a man who loves embracing his feminine side in a submissive and sexual way. Whereas a crossdresser is someone who likes wearing clothes traditionally meant for the opposite sex.

Google the author- "Honey Wells"

My wife has a few of her books and online books

Anne Summers used to sell books by author Honey Wells and if you read any of them, then you will have the full understanding of a sissy.

Many females today have read books written by Honey Wells.

I sneaked a read of my wife's paperbacks

There are various opinions to both of these and can be mixed together.

From my own experience, a cross dresser is a person who either always or occasionally dresses in female clothes. A sissy tends to be a submissive femboy type of person. I've always been naturally very smooth and until I turned 40 was slim to skinny. Have been waxing below since my college days and used to do a lot of swimming. Always been quoted as having a micro penis and in public toilets was always bending over to be fucked. Those men always called me a sissy along with a few other names.

In communal showers, I've been called a sissy but then I always retaliated, either with a punch lol or explaining my all smooth as a medical condition. That usually put a stop to any nasty meant comments.

During my swimming days, my main problem in communal showers was if I noticed some sneaking a peak view, I had no control over getting a hardon. Fortunately, being very small, it was not noticeable unless they were looking at it directly.

This would seem to be correct.

Sissy being sexual and crossdressing just a form of expression.

Both interchangeable and not mutual exclusive.

Is a transvestite and crosdresser the same thing?

My thinking is transvestite is a sexual thing, crossdresser is a lifestyle thing. Not all crossdressers do so for sexusl purposes

Interchangeable, I think - cross-dresser is US English, transvestite is UK English

Covers the fetishistic at one end to the lifestyle TV at the other

Asking for tranny fluid would explain this nicely depending on location.

When I was a youngster the word 'sissy' was used a lot and usually as an insult to someone who was perceived as being a bit week, effeminate, unmanly. It applied to men who talked in a 'certain way', minced and were 'limp wristed'. Not necessarily crossdressers. I've known two crossdressers who were anything but sissy. One was a straight army sergeant and the other a bi agricultural engineer. The typical Hairy Panty Wearer types.

Probably the same as Sissy.

Growing up, there was no such name lol but sissy was used for anyone who was not playing Rugby, Fighting lol or weak etc. Don't think it was meant to suggest they took it up the arse, just an insult.

Interesting question. If I dress in lingerie I feel submissive and slutty. Sometimes a guy will call me a sissy when I'm blowing him. I assume they mean I'm a man acting like a woman and being what they perceive to be a "sissy" "you little sissy cock sucker!" But do I class myself as a sissy? I probably actually do. In that situation I'm trying to assume the female role so as I'm male then I'm likely a Sissy. That's just my opinion obviously. Who knows?

I got called a sissy a lot growing up turns out I was just queer

Not sure all “femboys” see themselves as sissy’s tho I’ve seen a few of them get angry on Reddit when that term has been used

Sorry it upsets you so much.

Personally, I don't let any form of name calling worry too much. Was like that back in the days but since getting to 20 I either laughed it off or in public toilets I embraced it and thoroughly enjoyed myself

For me -

sissy (deliberate lower case) is Very submissive, effeminate, who loves to dress ‘pretty’ be it in pink and pastels, frilly dresses in order to please and pleasure a male Top/Dom. Acts demure and innocent, but loves to be seduced and corrupted.

They tend to enjoy the humiliation and being called a sissy, little cocklette/clitty gurl.

Cross dressers, just Love wearing clothes that society suggests they shouldn’t. Secretly dressed in lingerie under male outer clothing or entirely in the safety of theirs or others homes. They enjoy the company both both Female and Male admirers and aim to look feel and be effeminate.

I would say a sissy is going to be very sub, bottom and dress in frilly clothes, maids outfits, that sort of thing.

A cross dresser, wears women's clothes.

A tv makes the effort to appear like a woman.

Until now, my uneducated answer would've been that sissies weren't necessarily CDs but CDs just HAD to be sissies It seems that both terms cover a broad spectrum, but I like neither (term, not people).

Difference between a sissy and a cross dresser

One is defined by physical and sexual actions and mannerisms

The other is defined by dress code

If they were both naked the sissy would still be a sissy but the cross dresser would just be naked

I title myself as a cross dressing sissy slut.

Cross dressing - obviously because I like to wear female clothing on occasions.

Sissy - because I like to be perceived as feminine and not at all masculine and like to be subservient to others sexual needs to use me.

Slut - because I am not looking for a partner but many partners and sometimes at the same time.

Good question

A regular on here I see cross dressers and says he’s a total sissy, he wants to be totally emasculated, wears knickers bra 24/7 takes a contraceptive pill everyday, no idea where he gets them and is in chastity full time, he says his only desire is to serve real men, all his words not mine

In my younger days, so long ago you only heard the terms TV transvestite and TS transsexual. Yes I agree the term CD crossdresser came from across the pond as did later on the TG transgender.

TVs dressed for pleasure, sexual or otherwise, could be straight, bi or gay.

TSs were the ones that lived 24/7 as female often but not always having surgery to complete the transition.

Sissy has several connotations sometimes associated with the AB adult baby world, frilly satin dresses and knickers etc, to a bullying term if someone didn't think you was man enough to do something.
