"Hi guys, I'm coming to Southampton area at end of may for a few nights, i can travel a bit as i drive, but looking for recommendations for any "fun" hotels, or bars or saunas,etc that anyone may know of. For hotel in hoping something like chaps/trades is in blackpool. If anyone has any advice I'd be most appreciative. " Only sauna near is tropics in portsmouth ,i love it . Or saun sauna in bournmouth . The one in southampton closed yesterday | |||

To the gent that replied in private, thank you for your message, will look at the site you recommended, it does seem to be theres not a lot going on in southampton, but i drive so can go a bit further afield." lel, It's only one place... Stagg Gates, Lodge Road is the address of the Merchant Navy Hotel. Traditionally the hotel is used by sea fairing types and has a reputation  I gave the AD incase they changed the hotel name... but it was still there last time i looked! There used to be a sauna in Southampton, The Pink Flamingo... but that shut when the owner could not get public liability insurance! Be warned... Southampton is known as the... 'armpit of the south' for good reason! Good luck!  | |||

" Haven't been there for a long time but I don't think that there are any Gay Hotels in Southampton, and by the look of it there is only one Gay Night Club - "The Edge & The Box Bar Southampton" - which is billed as "Southampton's only gay nightclub" | |||
