In a world of my own

Having ‘straight’ sex has never interested me, and all my experiences have been man on man, how many other guys on here, such as myself, have never had sex, either penetrative or oral with a woman?

100% gay here. Zero interest in anything female. Totally top and even guys that show any effeminate side puts me off. I am fully aware that I'm an old man that doesn't appeal to younger guys, but that's OK too as I've yet to find a much younger guy who appeals to me.

99.9% here. Not had sex with a woman since my ex wife got pregnant with our son and he turned 41 last month. Even then it was very infrequent and totally unenjoyable. Only married because it was the 'done thing' and I thought it might 'straighten me out' and conform. Total failure. Never had the slightest desire to have sex with a woman since.

Playing around with a boy just a few years older than me at around the same time and I was rock hard and butterflies.

You don't need to be sarcastic. People can be as gay as they like, but there is no way that a newborn pops out with any form of sexual orientation. Infact, if there were any argument to suggest there is a sexual orientation at birth (and if so, then why not in utero also), surely the strongest case would be for being born heterosexual.

I'm being a bit sarcastic because you are adamant people are not born gay. There has long been an argument about nature versus nurture. Why are some people gay and others not? I know identical twin brothers. Brought up with each other, similar in so many ways as well as looks, best of friends yet one is a happily married family man whilst the other is totally gay. Definitely not a case of nurture there.

Despite my disastrous attempt to 'straighten myself out' I knew I was gay in my early teens and there were signs even before. I grew up with hardly knowing what gay meant. Virtually no literature on the subject, the occasional joke on television, didn't know any gay people and it was never anything you discussed. So there must have been a 'gay streak' somewhere within me from the word go.

I am adamant, not sure why that should prompt sarcasm. I accept that lots of men question their sexuality in their teens and that some men display (camp, feminine, gay?) behaviour pre-teens. I fully expect that we're all born with the potential to have any sexual orientation. But no one (yet) can point to a newborn and accurately determine sexuality.

I had a girlfriend when I was 19 but only because my best mate went on, and on, and on, and on, and on about me having a girlfriend. He found one for me! We fucked like bunnies and I did actually enjoy it. We were together for about 3 months then I went to college in Norwich, discovered that gay men were actually a thing and that was that!

Never had sex with a woman since then and only occasionally about 2% interest in doing so but that would only be if I found her very appealing and another man was involved at the same time!

There is no gay gene that has been identified, so that rules out genetics as the single factor. Obviously no one decides to be gay, but there is nothing to support that one is born gay.

Okay fine. I'm a sarcastic bastard. Always have been. Wonder if I was born that way or somehow acquired it through life's diverse path.

The point is no one has been able to come up with a definitive answer as to why some people, and animals for that matter, are homosexual whether full-time or occasionally [known on here as bisexual or bi-curious] If we take the view that sex was created to encourage procreation then we would all be 100% straight. As it is probably 90% are straight. There may appear to be more gay/bi people around these days but that is because it is a bit more acceptable with most people. No longer a taboo subject. Does not have the same stigma attached.

I have no idea at what age anyone starts showing gay traits and preferences. Thinking back with me it was a very young age when I developed an admiration for men unaware that it was sexual. I do rather object to your stereotyping gay as being effeminate or camp. A lot of us aren't in the slightest. Also remember lads acting in a camp fashion in gay bars because it was the 'thing'. They weren't camp in real life. Also been a bit surprised that some rather camp men turn out to be totally straight.

Basically we don't know the answer but that 'gay spark' is there. It is not something we choose or acquire.

I have often thought about this subject . Is it nature or nurture ? Life experiences, who knows . I was bullied from a very young age for being a poof , you see I didn’t enjoy sports , or all the other male things. I had lots of female friends as a child and as I moved into adolescence I used to fall heavily for girls . Female porn , pictures of vag I found repulsive. When I first had sex with a girl I just thought “ what’s the fuss “ went on to live with her and the longer we were together, the more I tried to avoid sex , but in all other respects she was a soulmate . Eventually she left , it took several years to overcome the heartbreak . A chance meeting with a guy led to my first gay experience and I have never looked back. I know I never could go with a woman , though I can appreciate much about them . Like others have stated , I also dislike effeminate men or over the top campiness . Being with a guy makes me feel whole and at home .

I've always seen women as much more beautiful than men and a beautiful woman passing me will catch my eye where a man won't.

BUT I really now find the idea of sex with a woman quite icky. Even the thought of kissing them seems awful to me whereas thinking of kissing a man gets me hard right away.

I think I was in my late 40s when I definitively became gay though I first touched another boys cock at around 10 years old and had plenty of gay fun before giving up on women.

I've always had straight relationships when they're full on relationships. I guess I started that way and never got out of the habit.

Doesn't mean I don't like gay sex. When I'm in the moment I'm all about the cock and the man and what we're doing to and with and for each other.

If my current marriage (to a woman) went tits up, I'd definitely be open to a full time gay relationship and coming out, because I think I've done the meets thing almost as much as I want to now (and honestly it's not very much, fingers of one hand kind of quantity).

But as a bloke of a certain age and maturity I'd want to be pretty fucking certain any future relationship was going to be no drama, no stress, just happy and fulfilling. Leave the drama to the kids.

I hear what you are saying. I can acknowledge a beautiful woman but rather in the same way that I see a landscape, or building, or a painting etc etc as being beautiful. Just no desire to have sex with them and certainly prefer to see them clothed than look at their naked body parts.

The men I am attracted to and would like to have sex with are often not the so-called heart-throbs, the ones with film-star looks. Tend to be attracted to the more rugged types. Always have been. Effeminate and camp does nothing for me.

I was totally straight with a high sex drive, 4 years ago I watched gay porn for the first time and my ejaculation was so beautiful and intense, a few months later I found myself in bed with a man, he was amazing and then a you get guy took me to bed, he was virile attentive caring and the most amazing kisser, he couldn’t enter me, I was too tight but the sheer beauty of seeing him remove his condom as he stood over me and watching him wank over me as his cum flew over my head and hit the wall behind me convinced me that bisexuality was my new orientation. Soon I had less interest in sex with my wife and when we were intimate I found that I could only cum by thinking of the men I had been with. I now feel as if I’m gay , yes I like my wife giving me a foot job with her nyloned feet and I enjoy eating her pussy but there is nothing as beautiful as undressing with a man and putting my mouth on his velvet textured penis head or sucking his nipples or feeling my cock harden as he sucks me.

Just normal casual friends no romance and no sex involved with the 2 women, only men. So the phrase should be born gay, live gay, love men, have sex with men and die gay - all sorted.
