How many people do you see in the heat of the day walking their dogs along hot pavements the poor pets panting with heat

Esp feel for the really hairy and old dogs you actually see they’re not liking it at all

Why are people so thick that they can’t alter their routines and walk the dogs in the evening when it’s cooler

Yes!

And Labradors/Retrievers can get sunburn on their noses.

I believe I'm right. In law a member of the public is allowed to smash a car window if they see a dog or baby in distress through the heat!

Hot pavements? It's hardly gotten above 22c in the warmest areas of the UK. I not worry if I were you till it gets about 30c+

The temperature readings are done in the shade. Direct sunshine is much hotter. One of my dogs struggles past 20 degrees and in the sun.

I suggest you go walking in bare feet on tarmac when it's been a hot few days.

I often do. I also often visit Perth W.A, and can assure you I walk barefoot in the park at 30c+

Yes. Mainly by 'panting' ie. mouth open so drips off tongue.

Most dogs I've had bark and go a bit crazy and jump around in the car if anyone gets near - which has been mistaken, by the know-all, do-gooders, as 'being in distress' rather than defensive and angry at being threatened/disturbed. If they're so hot why, and how, can they do that.

I think that the only legal action is to get the police to attend. Unfortunately, as is shown regularly on you-tube, they don't know the law either, but will, regardless, no doubt do something like break a window, feeling, and claiming, to be justified, no matter what.

I agree get down in the tarmac it’s really hot and the heat down their rising is horrible

Even when my dogs are at home they like to be in the sun

I wet them down with hose on fine spray

Esp their heads and neck

Has a great cooling effect

Years ago I went to the gym there was a little dog on back seat if a range rover which was heating up nicely in the sun

I went in and asked the receptionist if she could pass a tannoy messsge about it

I expected a nice lady to come and speak and sort their car

Instead a huge doorman type came round the corner red faced fuming and blowing steroid steam out his nostrils

His opening words were

Mind your own fucking business you cunt!

Tried talking to him just got aggressive abuse as I stood on looking up from under his chin lol

As he walked out he said, If you follow me out I will fucking knock you out

He could as well as all I saw him do in the gym was knock the shit out of a big punch bag

So my act of goodwill nearly got me a pasting!

Lesson learned lol

Report the inconsiderate sod to the police then, or just smash his windows and leg it

Because you don't worry about heat with a dog until it's 30 degrees. You are irresponsible.

These individuals believe their opinion is the correct and only opinion and hate people who disagree agree.

I don't think it too hot to be walking the dog walk along q path with a wide grass verge and my dog chooses the path so concrete path not too hot for him

My dog loves going for a swim in the heat of day, then winding every cunting dog up before she jumps back in the river in the heat of day
