Too many times I have been at a loss or thought too late what to do when out and I see a guy showing interest in having fun.

Only yesterday I was at a services on M5, I saw a guy in the toilets, he was lovely, caught my eye, went out to my car, he followed and stopped close playing pocket billiards, ostensibly looking at his phone, but I didn't do anything, after he disappeared I wished I had just casually asked him if he had the time.

Anyone else mess up an opportunity?

When I was younger, I was very shy when guys approached me for sex and I would always walked away.

As I grow older, I met a very nice guy whom I trusted very much and he taught me how to relax and enjoy sex. I realised how much I have missed with other guys I liked.

Summers of 86 and 88 I worked in Dublin airport, I was early 20s. I was still living with parents.

I got acquainted with one of the immigration officers at the airport, he was also from my village, married, early 50s I guess, and to my eyes v handsome. I used to sing in my local church music group and he knew this and I think he sang in some big concert choir so music/singing was a talking point whenever we met.

Occasionally, I'd miss the last bus from the city and be walking the 9 miles home and half heartedly hitching as I rarely got a lift. I remember one particular evening when I was picked up, and it was the handsome immigration officer. He seemed to be coming from work, but it was a very out of the way route he was taking home if he'd come all the way into the city. Anyway he chatted casually and mentioned something about the wife being away for the weekend. I was so naïve that I didn't pick up on it but there was definitely a frisson in the air. He dropped me off in the village centre and I walked the rest of the way home. I often think back to what was probably a missed moment..... he probably didn't want to drop any major hint as he knew I was a good Catholic boy (supposedly), but I think he also sensed my "potential". I wonder occasionally what might have happened if I'd shown any sign or interest......
