As others have mentioned there are various pros and cons to working from home.

It does allow you to do things you wouldn’t in the office like chat to friends on here. I have made one or two good contacts but I do miss the office banter and social interaction face to face rather than on a zoom call. There are days when I don’t get as much work done as I could do but because I don’t have the commute home I will sometimes work on after my finish time to complete a piece of work.

My job is mostly reactive so if myself and my colleagues were not responding it would be obvious. Not having the 90 minute commute also means I tend to start earlier and finish later when needed. Each person is different I suppose and it highlights the need to employ people with the right attitude.
