COLCHESTER

Any 60+ guys fancy a trip down memory lane, just for the hell of it?

Any adventures, sexual or otherwise from your teens!

I remember a bunch of us on motorbikes went to Somerset from Essex in the early 70s for a week long holiday! We were followed from county to county by the police. Bikers had a poor reputation back then.

Met a peroxide blond and fucked her. Smelt her on me for a week after.Yuk!

Saw ELO, KING CRIMSON at Essex University. Mott the Hoople in Colchester and HAWKWIND also in Colchester. Lots of booze and Dope!

Whats your memories?

Erics & The Electric Circus. Played at and watched gigs at both.

AC/DC at the Electric Circus on their first or second UK tour, just as punk was kicking off and no more than 200 in the crowd. I saw a lot of other bands in their embryonic stage there as well - Police, Str*nglers, The Jam The Damned, Joy Division etc.

Did you used to have any Flemos (Fleming's Jeans), I think they were down Walton Road.

Rock Against Racism, Victoria Park, London 1978. The Clash. I was 13. I lived in Stepney and walked there with my mates.

The biggest talking point after the gig was the sight of a young lady wearing a blouse but with square shaped holes with her boobs hanging out.

That kind of thing makes quite an impression on a 13 year old!

Oh, by the way. The Clash were brilliant!

Yes and no ,the punk and post punk fashions influenced generations to come and still does .before punk in the 70,s everyone dress the same or variations of the same ,punk inspired individuality .

Oh they were definitely the days. The family home was in the west midlands and in the 70s and 80s there were some excellent home-grown bands. Saw many of my favourite bands at either B'ham town hall or the legendary Henry's Blueshouse. Bands like ELO, Thin Lizzy, Supertramp etc. At the time I was dating a girl who's brother sang in a local rock band. He went on to fame and fortune, both here and in America...the guy is now a rock legend. What wonderful memories....

Anyone remember Loon Pants.

Popular in the late 60s and early 70s. Known for really wide flares from the knee down. But, from the knee up they were snug, very snug and a guys profile and state of arousal could easily been seen😊.

I loved (in retrospect, not so much at the time) the slow learning progression with girls from touching outside to, after what seemed like years, reaching first base! The strange corrugated feeling of an unaroused vagina in a girl as innocent as me and then wondering how suddenly it had all smoothed out but not realising that girls need foreplay to turn things on! Then that first fuck after several miserable failed attempts, the feeling as she lowered herself onto me. I remember the exact time and date! Later still realising that sex was more fun if I got her off before me. My formative era 1977 to 1985. New wave and electropop, the early 80s analog synthesizers. Too many groups to mention! Not a care in the world.
