So I tried on some chinos in M & S and realised, to my horror, that they stopped just above my ankles - I was expected to wear them without socks! I really don't have the ankles for this. Now I feel really old.

Never thought I'd hear someone say they're too old for M&S?

You’re not too old, you’re just too tall for M&S.

Love M&S for underwear.

Bras, knickers, tights.

Their outerwear has gone a bit strange and expensive.

They've veered towards a Debenhams feel, a weird collection of various design houses, when they should have stuck with their own brands.

Any trousers I buy from M&S are always too long, even the shorter length ones😕😊

Try wearing them with the waist-band below the navel.
