Wouldn't put money into his pocket. His politics are reprehensible. Used to love him and respect him.

Not any more...

Dear Stephen please come back to us

I believe in repentance and forgiveness

It's so easy to hate it takes guts to be kind

To paraphrase one of your heartbreak lines

"The Pope Of Mope's autobiography was a mixed bag as I recall..

"

A quick flick through the bookstand at London City Airport revealed a load of deeply pretentious self absorption written in that bizarre effete Victoriana that previously ( and still maybe does) litter his witterings . Reduced to redundancy.

Lol. A.A Gill reviewed it in distinctly unflattering terms: mucho curlicues and federals!

😭👍

Definitely touched with genius ... and still ruffling feathers beautifully.

I was never a fan of The Smiths mainly due to his voice. I did quite like the song London though, bit of a Buzzcocks vibe to that one, would have been better with Pete Shelley singing it though.

Have seen him a few times, both solo and in the Smiths. His songwriting is sublime. Outside of music, not interested tbh.

Tough titties indeed. He bleats about free speech but thinks he's being picked upon...

When people practice free-speech...

Yeah, they're inevitable but there's no way he'll cancel the home town show.
