I have an E220, 69 plate, with 109000 miles.

No breakdowns, no failures, not even a bulb

Although I think it’s time to think about a new battery.

Damn I hope that’s not jinxed it.

The last proper Mercedes solid and designed by engineers for quality was the 190. Then the cost accountants moved in and quality reduced. Some even had round headlights!

So 1998 I had a 190e was actually a pretty good car

2008 I had c250 was a bit dull to drive but still ok

2022 I had a Cls63 shooting brake probably the fastest object I’ve ever driven on road but not practical to own to expensive and it shouts its mouth off and let’s everyone know when you use your right foot

Lost money on all of them when I sold them on

Not really a fan of Mercedes i would pick bmw and Audi over Mercedes every day

I have looked at the cayenne panamera and the tycan

The only thing that has stopped me buying is the Porsche premium tax that goes with the badge

And in all fairness bmw alternatives to all the Porsches I mentioned imo are probably slightly better and fractionally cheaper to buy and own so to me it’s really a no brainer decision

I’ve got a 2018 new shape a class A200 1.3 160bhp

It makes me old fiat punto look like Concorde. I do miss that car.

It’s get Good mpg too on me a class low mid 40s town and easily high 50s on motorway and thats driving briskly.

Of course I’d love to have a mid 2000s Porsche 911 just need maybe 35-40k to get a decent one and then I can both.
