Can I get Music books?

I play the piano and do have a nice collection of music but Fox's who I used to buy my scores from have closed down.

Finding it difficult to actually find shops I can visit to buy.

I don't buy stuff online these days and free scores are available but limited.

I visit Leicester and Birmingham a lot. Anyone know of music shops?

Yes, it's about music.

Have seen them occasionally in second-hand book shops and if you're very lucky charity shops.

Car boot sales and charity shops - people regularly throw out music because they can’t play it.

Have you tried facebook market place or gumtree, freegle etc. May find someone clearing a departed relative's home or de-cluttering. Assuming you can travel to collect.

Try Hobgoblin, 40 Priory Queensway, Birmingham, West Midlands, B4 7LA

As already said, charity shops can be good, some Oxfam ones have v good sheet music sections. If you know a specific piece or book you're looking for, then Ebay or Amazon.

I'm personally trying not to use Amazon these days, but will use it to browse for things I may want and with books, you can often preview a few pages; I then look for the same item elsewhere. And particularly if it's a reseller using Amazon as a platform, I'll see if the reseller has their own website that I can buy from.

What sort of genre of music are you looking for?

Thank you all.

Basically, I tend to play classical music followed by musicals, shows and music from the 30s to 60s

Thanks everyone. As I said in my original opening post, I don't buy off the Internet due to certain reasons, but shall certainly take up the advice.

Wednesfield /Wolverhampton

There are loads of free sheet music apps online for piano.

You can get the sheet music for almost any song you want in the click of a button

Pawn shops can also be an interesting treasure trove.

Also, Amnesty International charity bookshops tend to have good stock.

You say you're regularly in Leicester and Birmingham, have a look on Google maps for charity shops, at least you'll find out where they're clustered and you can hit a load at once.

Clearance auctions can also throw up interesting collections.
