I read yesterday that been on prep increases the stds, and it's not as safe as presumed. Any thoughts.

Increase in STDs is down to people who don't look after their sexual health by getting regular check ups, and the misunderstanding around what prep is for.

What is your source for discrediting the efficacy of PrEP?

Whatever you read, it was nonsense. Guys who get their PREP from the NHS are far less likely to pass on any stds as they get tested for everything every 3 to 6 months. The same cannot be said for very many of those not on PREP. I expect there is a significant percentage of men, and women, who fuck around a lot with all and sundry who are never, ever tested for anything.

Paranoia and peddling fake news to smear the LGBTQIA communities.

Prep wont stop you getting an infection, but can/will lessen symptoms so a rise in STi could happen but is that a rise from 4.01% to 4.02% etc????

Take precautions if worried is by suggestion

It's certainly safe regarding HIV infection compared to any other methods.

There is a small rise in other STIs due to condom use being less common on Prep, and also due to being screened for STIs as part of the requirement for PreP on the NHS
