Went on a coach holiday with Daish', s last year to Eastbourne.

It was our first time on a coach holiday and was very good indeed.

Want to go on another two or three this year.

Anyone else like them or recommend a coach holiday company, from Notts?

Try lochs and glens . Scottish company. They own their own coaches and hotels in Scotland. They pick up all over England

I like coach journey longest was London Victoria coach station to Athens Greece .

2 drivers none stop only at border crossings. Sleeping sitting up on bus like plane .

Took 3 days 2 nights .

One guy drove for 16 hours none stop .

I also traveled on other coaches for 24 hours London Barcelona none stop 3 times London Salou Spain 26 hours .

Bangkok Sarat Thani 12 hours and another trip was London Heathrow to Bangkok 11 hours , straight onto coach overnight down south 13 hours onto Ferry 3 hours . Then 1 hour taxi to resort .

Done few train journeys as well over 20 hours .

Bus from Phnom Penh Bangkok , bus broke down so took 17 hours for 14 hour trip .

Can’t beat bit travel !

Done others 13 hours train and more .

Bangkok to Butterworth Malaysia

18 hours 40 minutes , but train was held up for 2 hours so total 20 hours 40 minutes.

30 years ago I picked a coach up at Dover and we went to Prague with stops over 24 hours .Stayed in a hotel, b&b, cost £100 which even then was cheap .

Sorry, if you want to stay in the UK ,might be worth looking at Great Rail Journeys, not a coach but might be of interest. I did one in Germany and enjoyed it .

Rawcliffe Bridge.

I went on a couch journey quite a few years ago, Blackrod and the Chocolate house.

Never again!

Drove around Manchester for 1 and half hours, and after having a very heated argument with the driver, he owned up that the hotel wouldn't be ready until 4pm.

Theb the following day, we went to Knowsley Safari park, through monkey enclosure, who stripped essential parts off the coach rendering it unroadworthy.

Oh, just send another coach you would think?

Wrong!

No spare coaches in the north of England!

Four hours later, a contract coach turned up, which promptly broke down.

10 hours later, they paid for a fleet of taxis to take uols to the railway station, but as I kept telling them, on a Sunday the last train had already left, and the next one was 7,30 in the morning in the wrong direction!

NEVER AGAIN!!

National Holidays was the company.

Can recommend as well. Had relatives visiting from Canada who did a coach trip with this company while in Scotland and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

In one of the hotels where I was F&B manager we had coach parties staying with us most weeks from March to November and again over Christmas and New Year. Mostly elderly. Some were jolly but some either weird or a pain. Think it put me off the idea for life

Flashback alert, me and the now wife in a Bournemouth hotel with national Holidays, after a long journey from Hull, checked into our 1st floor room and decided a hot bath was needed. Whilst that was running we decided to have a quick shag,

Unbeknownst to us, the bath water was leaking down into the ground floor and the grumpy landlady was knocking on our door and trying to get into the room whilst I was in full doggy style flow. Luckily I jumped to attention and managed to control the situation.

I travelled overnight in a coach from Manchester to London back in the early 90s. A young man, slightly younger than the young me at the time, got on in the middle of the night Midlands area. He sat next to me in the middle area if the bus. After a few minutes he rested his head on my shoulder so I thought fair enough and let it be. So after a few more minutes his hand wandered down to my crotch and began groping my jeans

I moved his hand away and shrugged him off my shoulder. He repeated this a couple of times and eventually got off the bus, somewhere near Coventry I think it was. That was a long time before I had started to have sex with guys. I did not want to be getting wanked off or sucked on the bus but I was not totally apalled by it and have often thought I should have given him my number (before mobile phones were common and small!).

Years ago I caught a coach from Sydney to Melbourne, overnight 12 hours it took but the coach only had 8 passengers so plenty of empty seats. I was sitting near the back of the coach and there was a guy sitting across the aisle from me, he shuffled over and we blew each other off and then he shuffled back to his seat, it made the journey a little more bearable...
