If you look at column inches and to a lesser extent editorial stance, reform as a minority group in politics are getting ten times the coverage orf other parties with more MPs and counselors then they have ever had.

Lib dem and green were and by several measures still are more popular and more successfully than the reform group. Yet when was the last time you got a decent discussion of Thier view in any mainstream platform. But reform are always there.

Look at spectator article today on the data breach and appalling treatment of Afghan allies.

Below is an extract, zero mention of others actually in parliament and actively screaming about the issue.

Reform finger pointing what a surprise! What about requests for info/demands for actual change made by independents and other minority parties?

Zero coverage.

Because reform can be trusted not to actually change very much?

It absolutely has nothing at all to do with Reform’s corporate ownership structure and paying media to give them air time.

Absolutely not. Nothing to see here… move on or I’ll call you woke.

If anything majority of media is against Reform

The problem is the mainstream media celebs & MPs have ignored the general public for years

They feel reform is the only party that is listening

Whether you agree is up to you

Calling them names doesn’t work anymore because it’s been done so often

We sadly have a ticking time bomb which is all of their doing

If MPs & celebs lived in areas hugely affected by it they might have an idea

But again having candidates parachuted into so called safe area rather than local ones is another poor decision

The Uniparty needs breaking, lib dems have had over a century of failure so Reform are the best chance of it happening.

Like it not, immigration is a huge issue in this country (and many others), and the uniparty aren't listening. Ukip in 2014 was a warning, Brexit was a warning, Conservatives winning on "get Brexit done" was a warning ...

People are sick of corruption and lies. Tories were corrupt and the dictatorship of Labour is the most blatant lie teller of all Governments ever. Whether Reform turn out exactly the same remains to be seen, but the Blues and the Reds need throwing in The Thames never to rise again

"

Lib dem and green were and by several measures still are more popular and more successfully than the reform group"

Last election share of total vote

Reform 14.29% (5 seats)

Lib Dem 12.22% (72)

Green 6.4% (4)

The groundswell is with Reform, and the recent council by elections were an absolute landslide.

Greens and Yellers really only get the dunno vote, while Reform, or skip before it, get the protest vote.

Sadly, the protest vote will only grow at this point in time

We have (had?) three?

Completely sidelined , but the snake oil man got mentioned as often as either of main parties.

Question time is not the issue, that at least allows a broad range of views. The issue is the privately owned media as they are not even trying to be broadly encompassing.

A load of twaddle I'm afraid.

The Greens and the Libdems have policies. Proper, thought out, meaningful policies. Reform has nothing that will actually help . They just mouth off on topics like immigration, Brexit and waste to get the airtime which they are given loads of because it creates controversy. Someone wrote, on the money I think, "Farage has an answer for everything but the solution to nothing".

Reform UK, 2019 to 2024, took £2.3m in donations from fossil fuel and climate denying companies.

Their MPs and councillors either leave, get thrown out, found out to be involved in scandals and chucked out. Their MPs don't have a long shelf life either.

A few days ago neither the Reform UK Chairman or Vice Chairman attended planning committee despite they opposition to solar, they couldn't be bothered to actually turn up. Rather like Farage when he was an MEP; one Fishing, his main interest, he turned up for 1 in 42 meetings of that committee. He made sure he collected his salary!

As the MP for Clacton he has mentioned the town 'he represents' only four times in the Commons. He has though made multiple trips to the USA since being elected as an MP last July and pocketed £970,000 from his second jobs. That will buy him plenty of pints down the Clacton local I'm sure.

Man of the people, my arse. Reform - party of the people? Give me a break.

I don’t believe the MSM support Reform it’s just that, whether you support them or not and I don’t, they are the party in the ascendancy. Whether we like it or not many of the silent majority feel let down by the current main political parties who have both failed to listen to them over the last 20 yrs. Thats why Reform are getting the headlines because as with all populist movements they are the ones saying what the public want to hear.

If Corbyn and his new party make strides going fwd then I believe they will get similar coverage. I think the days of Labour and the Conservatives dominating the headlines is gone. Times are changing and things are never going to be the same again.

Reform is riding high in the opinion polls. They did rather well in the May council elections and by-elections since [even if their councillors are a bunch of clueless greenhorns and have been resigning right, left and centre ever since] Reform is being looked on as a possible future government. Farage, through clever stage-management and PR has projected himself as a 'man of the people and [God forbid] a future prime minister. The established parties seem to have lost their way and all sadly have lacklustre leaders.

Reform UK is right to highlight the pressing issue of immigration.

The statistics are stark, and it's clear that the current system is unsustainable. While other parties may be hesitant to tackle this issue head-on, Reform UK is speaking to the concerns of many voters who feel that immigration is out of control.

Their policy on immigration could be a game-changer, and it's likely to resonate with many who are frustrated with the status quo.

Perhaps it's time for the other parties to take a closer look at Reform UK's approach and consider whether there's a more effective way to address this issue.

I agree that, if anything, there is a rather nervous prejudice against Reform. However the main Stream Media are well aware that with the public being much more aware of Reform via the polls that put them out in the lead, and the fact that they have a few MPs in Parliament for the first time, and Farage being very a more interesting and edgy candidate than other leaders, it is very awkward for them to try and ignore him.

I am quite certain that group think in some parts of the BBC and Channel four and the other liberal leftists in the media would just like Reform and Farage to go a way, but it will not happen any time soon.

Well actually, Reform's platform extends far beyond immigration.

They've outlined policies on economic growth, national sovereignty, public service reform, and law and order. For instance, they propose cutting taxes, streamlining government spending, and prioritising British interests.

They also aim to reform public services, recruit more police officers, and take a tougher stance on crime.

While immigration is a key issue, it's not the only plank of their platform.

Probably because the owners of the media have their own agenda that they are pushing to influence voters. We saw the same thing during the Brexshit referendum where people would rather believe a pack of proven lies than facts.

Compared to other issues in the country, just on finance basis ,

Immigration via boats is complete irrelevant!! Six million a day scam though it may be that's just chicken feed!!

For heavens sake look at the sums and start looking at causes of issues your complaining about!! Why is government broke?

Why are public infrastructure in bits?

Nothing to do with boats and hotels. It's privatisation and profit extraction , from you!

Serco and G4 alone earn billions from UK tax payer for crap service.

The boat people and costs are not even a cherry on top!

Profit extraction from UK per day is a couple of orders of magnitude greater than the boat people and huge parts of that earn less tax per pound than the lowest income tax bracket.

That corporate vampirism is the problem!

OK, here we go... I'm a staunch labour voter having voted Labour in all but one general election when I decided the Lib Dem candidate was more suitable. I don't agree with everything they're doing at the moment but surely it's better to get the more 'uncomfortable' decisions out of the way very early on in their term. Hopefully the more populist policies will follow. They're already making waves to go for the richest in society, and given time I think will be a force, certainly to be considered in 4 years time when it comes to the next election... The Tories currently do seem to be imploding, who knows they might sort themselves out before the next election. Get themselves a leader with some sort of 'go' in them. Can't rule them out altogether, remember, once a Tory, always a Tory... The Liberals, The Greens, they'll both still be around and although will never be a huge threat they could gain some momentum... now let's get the the elephants in the room. We all know that Farage will say absolutely anything if he thinks it's gonna get him any media attention, he's also got the financial hoy poloy backing that he needs, as for policies, we'll see what he comes up with, but he could certainly cause some upset, could be dangerous for us if he does actually make it. Thankfully I'm mot in any way convinced that he could be the next PM. Jeremy Corbyn, he's had his chance. He might got the backing of a few unions, he might come up with some decent policies, but he'll be nothing more than an irritation to the other parties... Having said all this. I do think it's good that there are more parties in the race, can only make things more diverse. Just make sure you vote, and make sure you know what you're voting for.

Simply downplaying the cost of immigration via boats as 'chicken feed' ignores the £6.8 million daily cost to taxpayers for asylum seeker accommodation alone.

This expense is not just a minor issue; it's a symptom of a broader immigration system that's out of control.

We can't just focus on one problem while ignoring others. Both corporate profiteering and uncontrolled immigration need to be tackled. The fact that some companies are extracting huge profits from taxpayers doesn't mean we should ignore the impact of mass immigration on our public services and communities. We need a comprehensive solution that secures our borders, reforms our asylum system, and puts UK citizens' needs first.

By addressing both corporate profiteering and immigration, we can build a more sustainable and equitable system for all.

Not orwelian it's common sense unless you subscribe to the Rand foundation mantra that "the strong must be allowed to do as they will!" Ie truss bul*hit.

Decent governance where elected representatives do for the populace what they cannot easily do alone, is the basis of any fair society.

China (the great boggy man) for all its flaws has actually curved the worst excesses of capitalism and prevented itself from following our slide into feudalistic international corporate melting pot.

It has massively raised living standards, whereas in Western world ours are falling decade on decade over the same period.

We need our government to do what we elect them to do, not what corporations pay them to do.
