An era of entertainers worth listening to. Made it to the top from the bottom.

Interesting to read today that Connie Francis was the first female solo singer to ever have a number one album in the UK way back in 1977 when she released her album "20 all time greats".

My favourite tracks from Connie Francis's long repertoire are Lipstick On Your Collar (1959), Among My Souvenirs (1959), Mama (1960), Everybody's Somebody's Fool (1960), Where The Boys Are (1961), Robot Man (1961), Breakin' In A Brand New Broken Heart (1961), Don't Ever Leave Me (1964), La Vie en Rose (1965), Roundabout (1965) and Another Page (1967).

It was her song

My Happiness

That Elvis was recording when he was discovered.

Not sure how well known that is?

If it's common knowledge then fine I'll crawl back under my rock
