Absolute joke. Never seen such a useless bunch of penalties from both teams.

England lucky to be progressing but Sweden should have had yellow and one red.

Totally agree, yes you there maybe the odd one individual penalty in men's football that I've seen that has been on par.

But never in one shoot out. It was like a compilation video of worst penalties.

Maybe fatigue paid a role, maybe womans games should be shorter like wo.ans grand slam tennis is shorter.

It was woeful but i really think that both teams were shattered and it must have played a part?

Did well to fight back from 2 down and penalties are a lottery.

Not at all a football fan, don’t watch or have any interest, so can’t comment on women being more tired than males at 90 minutes.. surely some of that would depend on position and game pace? My point is that as endurance is concerned the gap between men & women narrows significantly… although football is a series of short bursts of activity followed by recovery over 2x 45 minutes plus stoppages and extra time on occasions, there is little reason that highly trained professional athletes should be tired to the extent mentioned above regardless of gender.

Found the game exciting from beginning to end , Sweden the much better team running rings round England , seemed to have more players, then England coming back into it , followed by 2 quick goals , followed by such a tense penalty shootout , really enjoyable

I understand your reasoning ,but i watch alot of football and compared to the mens game that gets more intense in the last 10 mins as can been seen by a lot of late goals ,the womens game just on average drops off .

So either shorten the game ir the pitch size reduce to keep there game more entertaining .

It wasnt atense penalty shoot out ,it was possibly the worse on ever due to them being so knackered, thay could get power or accuracy on the ball .

If they want to live with the mens game as equals then please stop blowing smoke up there arses

Not sure many Men have the endurance for 24 hours + Labour. I find the woman’s matches a more enjoyable watch .

I guess marathons to ultras are not in the same ballpark as soccer games..physiologically speaking.
